Whether it is due to graduation, injury, or a monster offseason, there are always a handful of prospects who still manage to have their stock increase as they seize and maximize their opportunities.

Below are a handful of prospects who did exactly that last season.

Making a big jump was the big man from Bergen Catholic in [player_tooltip player_id='1017733' first='Chris' last='Vigna']. Perhaps Vigna's best attribute and the envy of all other linemen is his ability to move laterally. Doing so allows him to consistently beat people to the free grass and create stalemates at the line of scrimmage. Vigna continues to be a road grader and option number 1 to run behind, especially when his assignment is a down block. He really excelled this season and getting both vertical and horizontal displacement on double teams and looks to have improved his bend since the last time we checked in on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='750702' first='Deshawn' last='Stewart'] has not lost his passion or excitement to play the game, whatsoever. The reason his exuberance shows on film is because Stewart makes plays. He makes plays, largely, due to his ability to open up and run like a gazelle. Additionally, Stewart's is able to get his hips around, flipping them smoothly and effortlessly. His elite mobility allows him to create havoc plays, breaking up pass attempts ad nauseam. Coverage is not his only forte, however. Stewart is excellent at supporting the run, absolutely sticking ball carriers in the process. I like his fundamentals of tackling, where we see him hit/wrap/drive or roll whenever appropriate.

[player_tooltip player_id='994289' first='Eahjay' last='McAdams'] versatility caused him to make a considerable leap in the rankings with this update. McAdams played at the second level, both inside and out, within West Orange's 33 front this year. We see McAdams explode through the line and take very good angles to the ball. It is highly likely that McAdams is best used when he is not static and prowling around the front. With this full-head of steam ahead, McAdams is a maximum effort, maximum force type of player who uses that momentum to muddy the waters along the line of scrimmage. During the seldom motors when he is blocked, flashes of disengagement and destruction are demonstrated and he keeps plugging away. For as fast as he plays, he does recognize screens, too. He is a bit of a 'tweener in college, but a good staff will find what he does well and find a role for McAdams.

Either one of two things happened with regards to Eiljah Burress concerning our initial update: we either totally missed or Burress got a helluva lot better. Burress continued to show that he works well in space and can square dance his opponents and maximizes his catch radius; however, something just looks different about him. Perhaps it is his speed. Perhaps it is his sharp, crips route running. It also could be how he has managed to become more elusive than in the past. Maybe it is his propensity to make bigger, more explosive plays. In all likelihood it is probably the inexact measure of all of these attributes that helped Burress make the leap from a very good prospect to an elite one.

For as much as we have the chance to celebrate the rankings rise of the elite, FBS-bound prospects, I party the hardest for the populists. Having covered Cherry Hill East's [player_tooltip player_id='1228204' first='Leon' last='Donaldson'] once already during this rankings update, you might be familiar with his game; but if you are not, allow me to introduce him. Donaldson was used both as a receiver and as a back out of the backfield. He possesses moves that allow him to create space on his routes and in the open field. I thought that he tracked the deep ball extremely well, as evidenced by him not slowing down or having to adjust much to it. Donaldson makes outstanding adjustments to the ball thrown low or behind him, and uses his vision and speed well when he attacks the alley. Donaldson is a very good player that a college, somewhere, will like to recruit quietly so there is little to not competition for his commitment.
