Class of 2026, YOU are now on the board! With the 2025 class all but wrapped up, it's time to fully turn our attention to the junior class (incoming seniors), who will now be planning their spring/summer visits and deciding which schools they want to camp with. To kick start this changing of the tide, we rolled out our updated Class of 2026 rankings, with over 400 ranked players and 100+ players listed on our watchlist.

The next position I am breaking down is the quarterbacks, who took a huge leap as a group in 2024. Valley WDM's [player_tooltip player_id='401870' first='Drake' last='DeGroote'] claimed the top QB spot after a huge season and runner-up finish. Iowa City Liberty's [player_tooltip player_id='1552779' first='Reece' last='Rettig'] is one of the biggest risers in this update after he lit up defenses to the tune of 2,719 passing yards and 32 touchdowns with a 202 QBR. Here you can check out the entire QB rankings and below I highlight a few under-the-radar and new names to know from this rising group.

Overall: 54 | QB: 3

Waukee's [player_tooltip player_id='1240560' first='Beckett' last='Bakker'] was one of the biggest breakout players with 1,582 passing yards and 19 passing touchdowns to only two interceptions. Bakker also impressed with his legs, rushing for 472 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Beckett is a slippery quarterback who does an excellent job evading the pass-rush while keeping his eyes downfield and moving through his progressions. He has a live arm that can rifle the ball deep downfield and with good velocity behind his passes. Bakkar is extremely efficient at processing the game and does an excellent job getting the ball out quickly to keep the offense on track. Beckett's speed seems to go under the radar with a reported 4.59 40-yard time that flashes on tape with his ability to break away from defenses once he finds the open field.

Overall: 86 | QB: 7

This is a prospect I could see leaning more towards playing college basketball, but at 6'7” and a growing 210 pounds, it's hard not to imagine what Wolf would look like with more time to refine his game. Peyton had a solid season leading the Tigers as he completed 64% of his passes for 1,556 yards and nine passing touchdowns. Wolf is a strong-armed passer who can push the ball deep downfield with the ability to layer his passes over defenders and right into the bucket. He stands tall and poised in the pocket with the toughness to take a hit in order to get the ball off at the right time. Great vision downfield.

Overall: 105 | QB: 9

Solomon's [player_tooltip player_id='1241515' first='Eli' last='Kampman'] gets a bit of a boost due to his overall versatility on offense and defense. However, I'm excited to see what the Spartans' junior can do next season in what should be his first full season as QB1. As a junior, we saw Eli post 116 rushing yards, 186 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, 24.5 tackles and an interception. You can expect Eli to be a dual-threat where he can maximize his athleticism and keep defenses on their toes. In the small sample size we saw from Eli as a passer, he completed 15 of 19 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown. Big season coming up for Eli!

[player_tooltip player_id='1370649' first='Maddox' last='Pattison'] (@maddox_pattison), Oelwein - 6'3" 190 lbs

Overall: 115 | QB: 10

Here's another QB who can stand tall and deliver from the pocket. Oelwein's [player_tooltip player_id='1370649' first='Maddox' last='Pattison'] was a nice find in this round of updates. Maddox completed 54% of his passes, for 554 passing yards, and six rushing touchdowns. Pattison is a strong-armed QB with next-level measurables at 6'3",195 lbs and room to keep growing. One thing that stood out about Maddox's tape was his footwork and mobility, which allowed him to break out of the pocket to avoid pressure and extend plays with his legs. There was a lot to like about Maddox's mechanics including his ability to generate powerful torque in his hips/lower body, which helps him get the ball out quickly and with good speed behind his passes. Good improvisational skills to create when plays break down. Good tools to work with!

Overall: 155 | QB: 13

One of the more under-the-radar passers in this QB cycle. Council Bluffs Jefferson's [player_tooltip player_id='1403015' first='Jayden' last='Fujii'] put up solid numbers as a junior with 1,478 passing yards, 213 rushing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, and three rushing touchdowns. When watching Jayden's tape, the thing that stood out the most was how strong of an arm he has. Jayden hit some pretty impressive deep passes in which he hit his receiver accurately in stride. Fujii also showed that he can put nice zip into his throws to fit them into tight windows over the middle. Quick, decisive passer with the tools to play at the next level.
