From observing his performance in Maryland and at our event in Pittsburgh a couple weeks back it is clear that Martin looks much more comfortable in the pocket. He has much more poise under center and was making some nice reads against elite competition.

The All-Concorde District honorable mention selection as a sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id='1312051' first='Jack' last='Martin'] is poised to break out as a junior.

https://twitter.com/carljfred/status/1901303369869754549

A top 40 performer from the entire tournament [player_tooltip player_id='1311677' first='Deylen' last='Jones'] mossed a few defenders and made receivers know not to cross him early and often. He is the receiver in my video above that caught Martin's first pass, should not be surprised as these two have been working together for quite awhile. If you follow the Virginia prep RedZone site you would know we are very high up on Oakton's 2027 class. Jones is the 64th ranked prospect in this class and he had an outstanding sophomore campaign. You will be hearing more and more FBS schools start to invite him for visits in the next couple months.

https://twitter.com/DeylenJones2027/status/1902038007768646005

[player_tooltip player_id='1312792' first='Brayden' last='Vazquez'] made some plays defensively for the NOVA Nightmares he showed why he was an all district selection as a sophomore. Another top performer, Vazquez displayed great range on defense and made some tough catches too. His interception at the goaline during one possession shows you he is high IQ type of player. You can see in a year the difference Oakton High School Head Coach Brian Slay has made on the defensive side for this group. Vazquez is another member of their 2027 class that Coach Slay has big plans for.

https://twitter.com/braydenvaz2027/status/1901985790940344587

Happy to see [player_tooltip player_id='1190455' first='Preston' last='Schwartz'] back out on the gridiron after his junior season came to end early due to injury. Schwartz looked comfortable again at receiver and should play himself into a nice role offensively for the Cougars come fall. Covering the Cougars prior to last season I thought Schwartz was one of their best athletes. Oakton was a play or two away from reaching the playoffs last season and if this kid was healthy I believe they would have gotten their.

https://twitter.com/PJSchwartz24/status/1859325919636181479

Another member of Oakton's impressive 2027 class is [player_tooltip player_id='1313380' first='Timmy' last='Volciak'] who also acquitted himself nicely over the weekend. Volciak has good hands and size, he was able to find holes in his opponents defenses quite often. He too should figure into a more prominent role come this fall, giving Martin plenty of options.
