Fields is a great athlete with a lot of potential still to be unleashed. As a junior, he played on both sides of the ball and rotated in as a back, where he showed burst, good vision, and the ability to break tackles. I like his size and range, but he's still a bit raw defensively in coverage. I'd like to see him round out his game, but the little things can be coached up. When you have raw athleticism like he has, it's always a big bonus your way.

Ott is a complete-package linebacker who is coming off a promising junior season. The way he got after the quarterback and created pressure in the backfield was elite. He then can cover sideline to sideline with ease. He's smart, doesn't chop his feet, and can come to balance in the open field. His 75 tackles, 15 TFLs, and 5 sacks were all fairly impressive with how he did it. He played with confidence and the guys around him felt that.

Pleasant has quietly developed for Portage and should be a leader for them defensively. He'll be a 4-year Varsity player when he graduates. Last season was decent, but there's room to grow. He's great in the second level and can defend like a DB. He'll stay with his guy and run stride for stride with them. He'll make a play on the ball when he can and make something out of it. His 46 tackles, 5 TFLs, 2 sacks, and a pair of interceptions showcase his versatility heading into his senior year.

Moriarty has gotten better each year and has become a consistent defensive presence. He started as a freshman with 24 tackles, then bumped that up to 53 tackles in year two. This year, he had 108 tackles, 7 TFLs, 2 forced fumbles, and a sack, showing his ability to make plays in multiple areas. His growth over the years shows he's improving in all the right ways, and he's become a key piece for their program throughout his 4-year career.

Bean is a solid athlete who's steadily developed over the past few seasons. He recorded 23 tackles as a sophomore and followed that up with 37 tackles, 9 TFLs, a sack, and an interception last year. His ability to make plays behind the line of scrimmage and in coverage shows his versatility, and with another year of development, he should continue to grow into more of a leader as a senior.

McDonald showed impressive growth from his sophomore year to last season. After recording 44 tackles as a sophomore, he exploded with 125 tackles, 12 TFLs, 2 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles last year. His ability to make plays all over the field, both in coverage and behind the line, highlights his potential. With that kind of production, he's certainly put himself on my radar and someone I'll be watching closely this fall to see if he can duplicate.

Bright's growth has been noticeable each year. He's a great athlete with a fantastic build for the middle of a defense. After just 4 tackles as a freshman, he improved to 45 as a sophomore. This year, he stepped up with 53 tackles, 6 TFLs, 3 sacks, and a fumble recovery, showing he can impact the game in multiple ways. His progress is hard to ignore, and it'll be interesting to see how he builds on that as he heads into his senior year.
