2027 Spotlight: Standout Players Who Dominated Last Fall

We've got some talented 2027s here in Alabama!   Today, we are taking a look at some of the prospects who have stood out to us this week- these guys dominated last fall and somehow have been slept on since.   As always, be sure to check out their tape below- you won't want to miss out on them!    [player_tooltip player_id='1646764' first='Bryson' last='Sanderson'] is a dominant RG out of Oxford, coming off an impressive sophomore season where he made huge impacts in both their rushing and passing attacks.   At 6'5 290, Sanderson plays with great leverage, strength, and quickness to open up and create so many opportunities for his teammates on the ground. Sanderson explodes off the snap, gets great push off the line, and creates wide rushing lanes at the line of scrimmage and in the open field for his teammates to capitalize off of.   Sanderson is just as productive in his team's passing attack- he's super mobile and can lay out defenders out in space on screen passes, and can match up really well against interior DL in pass protection, allowing little to no pressure and maintaining a clean pocket for his QB.   With how well he played last fall, Sanderson has picked up offers from Georgia State, North Alabama, and more over the last few months. [player_tooltip player_id='1635119' first='Miguel' last='Wilson'] is a really talented DB out of Vigor who is starting to see his recruitment open up after his dominant sophomore season last fall.   Wilson is incredibly versatile and can make plays in a wide variety of ways as a DB- whether it be out in coverage, against the run, or as a blitzer, Wilson finds ways to impact every snap out in the secondary. Quarterbacks should think twice about throwing his direction, he's a really talented coverage corner with terrific hands and ball skills he uses to jar and pick off passes around the field.   I'm most impressed with Wilson's physicality- he is terrific man-to-man and has no problem flying downfield to deliver huge hits to the ballcarrier, frequently coming up with plays behind the line of scrimmage.   Wilson was a difference maker all season long- ending the year with 11 total tackles (4 for loss), one sack, and 2 INTs. With production like that, Wilson has seen his recruitment take off recently, picking up offers from Troy and Kentucky over the past few months.   Wilson put together some great tape from last season you can see below- it'll be exciting watching him and this Vigor defense this fall, they're set up for a huge year.      [player_tooltip player_id='1646779' first='Emmanuel' last='Gales'] is another talented 2027 on Vigor's defense who made a ton of plays at LB last season.   Gales is a physical LB who is a threat to opposing offenses every snap who dominates the run and causes chaos in the backfield on passing downs. Gales flies to the ball- he has impressive speed and play recognition skills he uses to close up rushing lanes, get into the backfield, and come up with huge plays for loss against the run.   Against the pass, Gales has a similar level of impact in the backfield- he's terrific at blitzing his way around OL to generate pressure on the quarterback, force bad decisions, and come up with sacks.   Gales made a ton of huge plays last fall, ending his sophomore year with 64 total tackles (39 solo, 27 for loss), 2 sacks, and one forced fumble.   Gales just picked up an offer from Troy, and with his talent, he will definitely have more on the way soon. [player_tooltip player_id='1610285' first='Timothy' last='Rivers'] is a dominant MLB out of Citronelle who has become a huge piece of their defense over the past two seasons.   Rivers is a tackling machine against the run who is terrific at locating, tracking, and meeting the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage and in the open field for huge stops. He's impressive in pursuit and is a reliable tackler who can close in and come up with hustle plays almost every snap.   Rivers can impact the pass as well, he's great at blitzing and pressuring QBs behind and also has some impressive coverage skills that help him lock down the middle of the field.   Rivers made a ton of plays for Citronelle's defense last season, ending the year with 118 total tackles (85 solo, 10 for loss), one sack, and 2 hurries.   Be sure to check out Rivers' tape below, he's a really talented defender with a big season ahead this fall.      [player_tooltip player_id='1409012' first='Traylen' last='Roberts'] is a dominant RB out of Reeltown who was explosive on the ground all last season for their rushing attack.   Roberts is explosive out of the backfield and was a huge reason why Reeltown went on their state title run last fall- he plays with great speed, twitch, and vision he uses to carve up defenses every time the ball is in his hands. Roberts is patient behind the line, finds rushing lanes, and revs up from 0-100 within an instant, breaking into the open field for huge gains on the ground.   On top of his skills on the ground, Roberts has the versatility to create in the passing game as well- consistently finding ways to get open underneath and making the most out of each reception.   Roberts was dominant on the ground last season, ending his sophomore year with 220 carries for 1547 yards and 14 TDs on the ground and 4 receptions for 36 yards and a TD through the air.
