Our first riser is also our new highest ranked defensive player. Isaac is quickly developing and growing into a Power 4 edge defender. He looks the part at 6'6" 245 lbs with long arms and room to continue to fill out. His long strides cover ground so quickly as he closes on the ball in the backfield. The sophomore did a great job of setting the edge against the run, breaking down just past the line and making the tackle or standing up linemen trying to kick him out. Isaac also does a great job of using his length to create separation so he can quickly disengage from blocks and also gets his hands up in the throwing lanes. His play strength is also a major plus to his game.

The scary part for OL is that the '27 can get even more dangerous as he improves his burst off the line in pass rushing situations. Miller is going to be battling for that top spot the rest of his HS career. Big things ahead.

Gage is a punishing left tackle. He checks in at an impressive 6'4" 295 lbs, yet at that size the sophomore has shown he can get good depth in his pass protection to battle speed rushers on the blindside. Gage also flashes the ability to hit level two and also slide laterally to trade off and pick up new defenders during a play. It's the run game where Gage truly gets to show off his best assets though. The big man is a punisher in the trenches. Once he clamps those hands onto his opponent Gage is able to drive them off the line until the whistle blows or he is putting them in the dirt. Rooney is a rising force in the trenches.

If Hunter can continue to improve his game like he has this past year, then we are going to see his stock continue to rise. He has grown into an OT frame with length, power, and impressive mobility loaded into it. That mobility, flexibility, and range are where he has made his biggest improvement. Hunter looks comfortable in his movements, clearly showing that he is quickly growing into his large frame. He can get out in space or easily mirror pass rushers as they attempt moves and counter moves. Mallinger has also done a great job on tape of showing he can turn that improved mobility into instant power on contact with defenders. I'm jacked up to see how the '27 continues his development this offseason.

Not only did Nolan make the big overall jump, he also rose a ton in the positional rankings going from QB8 to QB2. From our last update to now Nolan is grown into more of your prototypical QB frame at 6'2" 205 lbs. What has grown even more than the frame is the arm strength. Hanson's sophomore tape shows a kid that will attack short, intermediate, and deep downfield with velocity. He can stand tall in the pocket and drive passes into windows with accuracy. Nolan also recognizes when he needs to use touch to drop the ball in a bucket instead of through a tight window. I've also been hearing some great things about his offseason training, so I'm pumped to see how he looks this summer and beyond.

Our new LB1 is the highly productive and talented athlete out of De Pere. Cayden does everything you need from an ILB well, proving that he has the talent to be a three down LB at the next level. Cayden's instincts are outstanding for a sophomore on varsity. He is so quick to read and trigger to where he needs to be to make a play. His agility, change of direction, acceleration, and speed give him the ability to roam sideline to sideline every play. Cayden does a great job of staying clean playing in the trenches, and when he does get blocked you see the strength he has to quickly shed the block and get after the ball. The sophomore looks at home dropping into a zone too. Reading the QB and driving on the ball to make a play. Big things ahead for this kid.

Zy'aire has quickly put himself into the running for top CB in his Class and one of the more naturally gifted DBs in the state. Smith is so quick to read and react and his closing speed is elite. From his change of direction to his acceleration to his top end speed, Smith has the athletic tools to shine in zone or man coverage. The sophomore does a great job trusting his eyes and attacking without hesitation leading to so many plays by him. Watching through the highlights it seems like the '27 CB is always in the right place at the right time to make a big play. It is impressive watching Smith tackle one on one. He closes quickly, wraps up, and runs through the ball carrier. You don't see many CBs that can cover like him and also be so willing to run support and tackle. Keep a close eye on this kid. His rise up the rankings might not be done.

Evan is one of the more unique talents in the Class. He has our #1 punter ranking. The sophomore has a massive leg that can put a ton of air under the ball, giving his gunners time to force fair catches. His hang time and directional control also force a lot of returners to not even attempt to get under his punts and instead let them roll in Evan's favor.

If his leg wasn't enough of a weapon, Evan also makes a huge impact as a DB for Arrowhead. His DB highlights are loaded up with him making plays all over the field thanks to his speed, ball skills, and play recognition. The highlights area also filled with high effort plays whether it be a chase down tackle across the field, or going across the field to make an INT on a pass going to a receiver who wasn't even lined up on his side of the field. Athleticism, effort, and a high football IQ paired with that big leg make Evan one of the most versatile kids in this Class. Check out the punting and defensive highlights.

Kaben is a talented IOL. His sophomore highlights show good size with plenty of room to continue to pack onto his 250 lbs frame. Ziegler does a great job with his leverage, quick feet, and hand placement so that he can be in position to overpower IDL. You see several times in his film where he is able to create a big surge against large DL because of his technique. When the sophomore pulls and gets to run out in space he looks as comfortable as the RB he is leading downfield. The 6'3" 250 lbs lineman is a naturally gifted athlete. Kaben has made strides since last offseason, but has so much more room to continue to improve. I'm intrigued about his future development as he continues to get bigger and stronger. He could be in line to be a breakout athlete this year.

Another skill player on the rise is West Bend West WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1336952' first='Ryan' last='Rose']. The 6'1" 190 lbs WR is a vertical threat with his long strides that quickly eat up yards and cushion given by DBs. His speed after the catch allows him to beat pursuit angles and get the edge on jet sweeps. Ryan also has the power to rip through tackles from DBs and force DBs to gang tackle him. Plus he does well tracking the ball and fighting through contact to secure the catch. The playmaker also shines at DB. He is a reliable, violent tackler on the edge vs the run. Rose shows the speed to recover and the ability to diagnose plays and the IQ to know where he needs to be based off what he sees. Ryan is a name to know. Take some time to check out his highlights.

One of the biggest risers of the bunch is our final athlete of today's article. While Tyson is undersized at 5'11" 215 lbs he was a menace on the DL in 2024. His first step burst off the snap and lateral quickness make him a nightmare to try and stick a block on at all, not to mention actually gaining a position of leverage on him. Tyson also does well turning that burst into power. He has shown he can bull rush his man into the backfield to disrupt plays or collapse the pocket and pressure the QB even if he doesn't get home. Keep track of this disruptive athlete and see how he continues to grow and develop over the coming years.
