Lincoln Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='1590682' first='Carter' last='Hiatt'] continues to prove why he's one of the "freaks" in his class after a breakout football season followed by medaling at the state wrestling tournament... in the heavyweight division. Hiatt turned in a superb freshman football season by recording 92 tackles, four TFLs, and two sacks. Right off the bat, my first thought about Carter is that there's no way he's a freshman with his bulky 6'2", 215-pound frame. Then he looks even less like a freshman when you watch his tape and see him consistently find his way to the ball play-after-play. He flows to the ball naturally and is aggressive at the point of attack. Hiatt is a secure tackler when he gets to the ball carrier using great technique and power to force his opponent to the ground. The sky is the limit as Carter continues to fine-tune his game... should be scary hours by the time his senior season rolls around.

Cedar Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1590686' first='Micah' last='Cattau'] had a solid HS football debut as he got his feet wet against varsity competition and showed that he can hold his own. The Trojan's frosh carried the ball 74 times for 495 yards and two rushing touchdowns, setting himself up to be the team's RB1 next year. I don't have much tape from Micah's freshman season, but from what I've seen, I'd say he's a tough runner with a sturdy frame to take on defenders. Micah also recorded 49 tackles on defense. Big offseason coming for Micah who could be in store for a breakout season in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1577986' first='Aisaiah' last='Bollen'] (@BollenAisaiah), WR/ATH - Lincoln Southeast - 6'0" 160 lbs

Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1577986' first='Aisaiah' last='Bollen'] is an interesting up-and-comer who is not just turning heads in football but also on the baseball diamond. Aisaiah, who will likely step into a bigger role in 2025, flashed great upside as a receiver and defensive back. On offense, he displayed strong hands that seemed to catch everything thrown his way, even when adjusting his body to make the reception. I was impressed with what I saw defensively. Bollen is a smooth athlete who can quickly flip his hips and change direction to stay with the opposing receiver going through their breaks. He has the speed and acceleration to get depth in coverage and close on the ball. Physical defender who will also step up against the run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1590703' first='Tyler' last='Thorell'] (@ThorellTyler), DB - Lexington - 5'11" 160 lbs

Despite the up-and-down season for Lexington, there were still several bright spots to look forward to, including the emergence of budding two-way freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='1590703' first='Tyler' last='Thorell']. Tyler led the Minutemen in receiving yards with 15 receptions for 230 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Tyler also played well on defense, recording 21 tackles, a TFL, an interception, and a forced fumble. Offensively, Tyler is a crafty receiver who can spring open against defenses by finding the soft spots in the coverage and attacking them. Nice twitch after the catch— can shake defenders off in the open field to tack on additional yardage. Thorell plays a physical coverage with good ball skills and instincts to break up passes at the catch point. Underrated return man!

[player_tooltip player_id='1215761' first='Yano' last='Jones'] , QB - Papillion-La Vista South

Papio South's [player_tooltip player_id='1215761' first='Yano' last='Jones'] is a player we've been watching since the youth circuit and still look forward to seeing the day he takes over under center. I couldn't find tape from Yano's frosh season, but I from what I've seen in clips and 7v7, it's clear to see he has the tools to develop into a college passer in the upcoming years. He already processes the game very well with a high football IQ and ability to take what the defense gives him. Jones has shown that he can make throws to all levels of the field and does so with solid accuracy.
