It was a great weekend of football in north Georgia and we've already had a ton of content drop, looking at some of the best players that stood out throughout the weekend and it's not slowing down anytime soon. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at Playmakers Elite out of Alabama after they had a very successful weekend in Georgia. There was no doubt that this was a program to watch coming into the tournament because of the talent they had but these five players really stood out to us when we got a chance to watch them up close this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'] - 2026 Quarterback

The 18U division had some serious talent at the quarterback position from top to bottom. [player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'] might be at the top or at the very least, he's near the top of that list. Frye was absolutely surgical with his ability to make big throws in tight windows and doing it on a consistent basis. There was one play in particular on Saturday that caught our attention. He gave some last minute instructions to his slot receiver to the right. That player ran a skinny post and brought the safety up, which is exactly what Frye wanted because it was a decoy route. Frye would then launch a bomb over the top and behind the safety and had an easy pitch and catch for a score. It was effortless at times throughout the weekend for Frye and the rest of this offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604820' first='Caden' last='Ali'] - 2026 Defensive Back

Almost every player on this breakdown really excelled on the offensive side of the ball but we had to get a little defensive flavor as well. In fact, their coaches would even tell us that they had some dogs on the defensive side of the ball and they were right. In fact, in one game on Saturday, the defense needed to come up with a stop in the final minutes and it was 2026 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1604820' first='Caden' last='Ali'] that came up with an interception that sealed the victory. The defense was incredibly fun to watch but Ali was definitely a guy that you couldn't test at the cornerback position. He had a knack for making some big plays and it was a unique blend of athleticism and instincts that put him in the right place at the right time on a routine basis.

[player_tooltip player_id='1358240' first='Christian' last='Thomas'] - 2026 Wide Receiver

2026 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1358240' first='Christian' last='Thomas'] was one of the better wide receivers that we watched throughout the two days in Georgia. He made some spectacular plays during the tournament and the reason we think he was one of the best wide receivers is just how easy those plays looked. In 7v7 tournaments, you get players making great plays all over the place. But with Thomas, what separated him from some of the other playmakers was his ability to make it look like second nature. A ball looks like it might be out of his reach but he hits another gear that you didn't know he had and he runs under it for an easy catch. Thomas is on the radar of our PRZ-Alabama writers and it's easy to see why with the natural ability he has.

[player_tooltip player_id='1183242' first='Kentrell' last='Davis'] - 2026 Wide Receiver

2026 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1183242' first='Kentrell' last='Davis'] was one of the players we had circled coming into the tournament based solely on his growing offer list. Davis is quickly becoming one of the top wide receiver prospects in the state of Alabama and you don't have to look much further than the list of offers that he's picked up to see why. Then we watched Davis run around for two days in Georgia and the signs are all there that he is one of those prospects that has a unique blend of talents that will allow him to be successful at the next level. Playmakers Elite was just that this weekend, they had playmakers so they didn't have to force feed Davis for two straight days. But when he got his opprotunities to make plays, he took full advantage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1453166' first='Rollie' last='Pinto'] - 2026 Wide Receiver

While Playmakers Elite had no problem with players making plays on the outside, they also needed to attack the middle of the field and that's where 2026 wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1453166' first='Rollie' last='Pinto'] really excelled throughout the weekend. Pinto was constantly beating his man off the line and whether it was a drag route, post, slant or whatever the call, Pinto was going over the middle and consistently making big catches. When we were watching Playmakers Elite on Saturday in particular, it seemed like every time they were facing third down, it was Pinto that would get open and keep the drive alive. He was incredibly consistent from start to finish and gave them yet another weapon to really put stress on whatever defense they were up against.
