The 2024 WV high school football season has completed and now it's time to spotlight the 2027 class with the winter rankings update. Here are the new offensive prospects who were added to the Top 75 rankings.

Jefferson has a pair of 2027 offensive linemen in the Top 75, with the second being [player_tooltip player_id='1160617' first='Channing' last='Proctor']. The 6'2 290 big man took over at center this season for the Cougars, and it appears they have a 3-year starter talent with Proctor. He has the ideal frame and size for all three interior offensive line positions and could slide over to guard in the future. Proctor will need to keep progressing with his footwork and athleticism, and if he can, his ceiling as a prospect will rise immensely. He's shown the potential in the other facets of his game to develop into a top OL prospect in this class.

We were anxiously waiting for 2027 Woodrow Wilson QB [player_tooltip player_id='897526' first='Gage' last='Price'] to produce more film before placing him in the rankings and an early opening as the varsity QB1 opened up this season. Price took advantage of that opportunity and had a successful first season behind center that placed him as the #6 quarterback in the 2027 class. The Flying Eagles run a lot of Wing-T, but Price was still able to put up decent numbers with some traditional shotgun sets sprinkled in as well that showcased his early arm talent. He's a touch passer who lays his passes in softly to receivers and will continue to improve velocity and arm strength. Year one was a solid start for Price, but he should be able to take a step forward each of the next two years.

The Linsly Cadets have been producing quality receiver prospects in recent classes, and 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1331230' first='Chris' last='Upton'] looks to continue that trend. He had some older talent ahead of him this season but was still able to get quality reps against possibly the toughest schedule in the state. Upton's role should increase as a junior and senior, with glimpses of promise and potential as a sophomore. A three-sport athlete, Upton is a well-rounded athlete that should allow him to develop into a top target by his senior year.

2027 Tolsia ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1154698' first='Robert' last='Evans'] originally debuted on our Watch List as a quarterback but moved to running back this season for the Rebels and turned in a great season as a ball carrier. Evans rushed for 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns at the small school level but has the size and athleticism that will translate as a prospect. We've only gotten a two-game sample size so far of highlights to evaluate, but Evans clearly looks and moves differently than most Class A athletes. Linebacker will likely be his best position as a prospect, but you can tell from his running back tape how natural of an athlete he is.

Former 2027 Washington offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='864953' first='Jack' last='O'Neal'] will now reclassify to the 2028 class at Saint James School (MD) but produced for the Patriots' varsity squad as a sophomore, showing some good things on film. He has quality size and a wrestling background that will continue to translate to the football field over the next two years as an interior OL prospect. O'Neal played just about everywhere other than center as a sophomore, which speaks to his versatility as an athlete. He's strong at the point of attack and showcased good early physical strength and power as a sophomore that allowed him to get good push on film.

2027 University K [player_tooltip player_id='1616222' first='Brady' last='Goodenow'] stepped up for the varsity squad after spending some time on JV this season and produced. Goodenow converted on 29/32 PATs and booted four field goals with a long of 38 for the Hawks as a sophomore with a bright future coming as a specialist prospect. He'll continue to improve over the next two years as he irons out his mechanics and gets more reps, but Goodenow flashed obvious potential and upside in his first varsity action in 2024. He could develop into a scholarship-level kicker prospect by his senior year with a head start among other 2027 specialists.

The Sissonville Indians may have had a rough 2024 season, but starting sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1616398' first='Maddox' last='Balog'] was a bright spot and an athlete that they can build around over the next two years. Balog has good height and a frame to continue filling out as he gets older. He threw for over 1,600 yards and totaled 21 touchdowns this season while having to step up for a young squad. Balog is a pure pocket passer with the ability to roll out and escape the pocket at times as an improviser out of necessity. He has a quick release and showcases the arm talent to make a variety of throws on film. Balog isn't afraid to throw his receivers open and has gunslinger traits that can be developed into a top quarterback in this class.

2027 Berkeley Springs WR [player_tooltip player_id='897523' first='Kyle' last='Moore'] is someone we've liked since showing flashes as a freshman for the Indians and having a solid showing at our Combine camp last spring. Fast forward a year, Moore now rounds out our 2027 Top 75 as a Top 10 receiver with improvement from his freshman to sophomore year. He has the length and athleticism to continue building on over the next two years as an athlete with a lot of raw talent. Moore has the intangibles to continue developing and hasn't come close to his ceiling yet as he further learns how to fully utilize his gifted athleticism and ability.
