Last night we took our scouting talents to the 612Qs QB Academy as we got live evals on several quarterbacks in their Week 10 session. In this underclassmen grouping, we saw some of the best QB talent that Minnesota surely has to offer.

Tristan Karl, Rosemount 2027 Twitter

Tristian is a 2027 quarterback that I got eyes on at a 612Qs camp last year and intrigued me with his development from last year to what I saw last night. The 6'1 185 pounder, has grown out his frame since then and from the live reps I watched last night he showed off a quick and more mechanically sound release from the reps I got to watch. Tristan also showed off to be more pinpoint with his accuracy along with showing a better understanding on where to use his arm strength, with balanced touch shown off throughout the night in the reps I got to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1547262' first='Ethan' last='Ryan'], Holy Family 2027 Twitter

Ethan came out as the QB MVP last night in Week 10 and as the 6'2 185 pounder from Holy Family surely was one during the live eval that I thought too got better and better rep after rep. His footwork caught my attention first going thru his reps, as he showed off the poised movement with his approach prior to making his release. He was very impressive consistently too with his ball placement showing off the precison and the ball flight to allow his wide receivers to catch and go on the run. The sophomore threw for over 1500 yards last year for the Fire and had a four touchdown to one interception ratio as he showed last night his development is running with more depth this off-season already.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219749' first='Mason' last='Stene'], Lakeville South 2028 Twitter

Mason is another quarterback last night that although one of the youngest quarterbacks at the QB Academy, showed off in my eyes the attention to detail growth from the first rep I watched him to the final rep. He got smoother with his skillsets not only with making smoother touch in his intermediate throws towards the end of last night's session, but I could gauge his pocket presence and visually his alignment paid of good dividends for this young man in the end. He brought a workmen's like mentality with watching him go thru his process which is always a great sight to see from an underclassmen. A 2028 quarterback to watch out of Lakeville South with a good amount of upside yet to be untapped.

Dylan Baudoin, Prior Lake 2028 Twitter

Dylan was a 2028 quarterback that was named as a top performer in Week 10 at the 612Qs quarterback academy. When you watch his tape from April 2024 to what I saw last night, you can quickly see the strides this young man has made not only mechanically but the speed of his release has certainly improved. With a shortage of wide receivers last night, my 32 year old legs took a shot running a crossing route for Dylan and he led me with a precise throw that probably if I showed off better change of direction, I would have made his catch in stride on that intermediate route. He is certainly one that intrigues me with his character as well in this 2028 quarterback class with a solid upside left to grow as just a freshmen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1246857' first='Jack' last='Wiste'], Centennial 2027 Twitter

It was the second time I got to watch Jack throw in the last couple of day, as I surely was in agreement with QB coaches from 612Qs, that Jack was a young man last night that owned his craft and it might sound repetitive, but rep after rep I thought Jack got better and better as the night went on. He showed off what I felt was a great amount of growth with his poise and showed off good balance with his touch throws on intermediate and deep routes in Week 10 at the QB Academy with 612Qs. Jack was another QB that got a top performer nod from the QB coaches as well in yeserday's session.

[player_tooltip player_id='725721' first='Thor' last='Soukup'], Wayzata 2027 Twitter

Our recent QB MVP at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase had himself another excellent outing in Week 10 of the 612Qs QB Academy. The 6'2 220 pounder from Wayzata, continued to show off the impressive athletic movement with the throws he made outside of the pocket and constantly put his throws right in the bucket of the wide receivers all night long. Even since our showcase at Park Center, I feel Thor has grown significantly with his quick diagnosis he shows off in the pocket with his poise and can make any throw you want on all three levels. I surely continue to feel that Thor easily shows off a Division I grade and I would not be surprised if he was an early offer target in this Minnesota 2027 class of quarterbacks due to his stockrising development he seems to keep putting together every offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543013' first='Reed' last='Creighton'], Belle Plaine 2028 Twitter

Reed so far has been one of my favorite underclassmen quarterbacks I have watched this off-season in Minnesota as the level of difficulty of the throws he made at the 612Qs QB Academy in Week 10 is why I feel he one of the most polished 2028 quarterbacks in Minnesota. I thought I couldnt' be more intrigued from what I saw from Reed at our December Minnesota showcase, but I surely was with what he showed off last night as he has such impressive throwing angles for his age as he mechanics were easily some of the best I could grasp last night in Savage. It seems like he doesn't lose one ounce of arm strength or accuracy when he throws from the run and even his throws that were just off, showed off the ball fits that most wide receivers would be able to get in stride. Surely a 2028 quarterback that should be in our top tier for quarterbacks when our Minnnesota rankings come out for that class.
