Last night we took our scouting talents to the 612Qs QB Academy as we got live evals on several quarterbacks in their Week 10 session. This time, we focus on the 2026 QB targets that made some noise in the live eval as there were several scholarship-level talents in attendance, new names with upside, and more.

Beckham was a 2026 quarterback that I got a live eval on from a 612Qs camp last year and showed off as one that has grown steadily from my last live eval. Where I saw the most growth from Beckham was with his mechanics as I could tell his progressions have grown in speed from under a year ago as he sees the field and locks in quicker than before. Beckham also was more intriguing in the reps I watched with his ball placement as I thought his accuracy was more on line throwing from outside of the pocket. The 6'5 205 pounder from Mounds View, is surely a 2026 that I really like the upside he can grow in the right system at the next-level and surely by a mile passes the eye test of what college coaches should want as far as the measurables go with his best football ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1248646' first='Nick' last='Leland'], Lakeville South Twitter

Even though it was my first look watching Lakeville South Cougars new 2026 gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='1248646' first='Nick' last='Leland'], myself and the QB coaches agreed that Nick had his best outing thus far at the QB Academy here in Week 10. Nick is still brewing with upside with his throwing mechanics, however I liked the good pocket movement he showed getting out the pocket yesterday evening and it seemed like each drill of four I watched, he made an impressive throw showing what is out there with his arm talent especially on intermediate routes. I am a firm believer that this is young man that with great coaching by the crew at 612Qs, he is only going to wreak the benefits with rep after rep he keep getting at the academy this winter as a new name to watch out of powerhouse Lakeville South.

[player_tooltip player_id='592128' first='Peyton' last='Meyers'], Benilde St. Margaret's Twitter

Peyton is another one that I got a live eval on at a 612Qs camp last year, and you can surely see the growth he has made especially with watching his footwork yesterday in the 2026 group of QBs. I thought Peyton was the most intriguing amongst the group with the great balance he showed in his five-step drops which surely looked more polished than what I saw a year ago. He also flashed on the numerous reps I watched with his ball placement which got another higher grade from what I watched last year showing the growth that Peyton has made from his 2024 season into the off-season. Peyton has picked up some attention at the D2 and FCS level this off-season already and I would expect more from the scholarship-levels in the coming months.

Michael Sarych, Totino-Grace Twitter

Michael is another 2026 new name that we tracked as a standout out of this 2026 group of quarterbacks yesterday at the 612Qs QB Academy out of Totino-Grace. The 6'1 165 pounder looks like a quarterback that I wouldn't be surprised if he hits a growth spurt here soon as his body type seemed like if we look ahead a handful of months from now he could add more length to his throwing motion. From my first look, Michael showed off some fiery arm strength that you could tell will finish his throws to his wide receivers. Seeing what I saw watching him throw on intermediate routes, that proved to be the case in the handful of reps I watched as well for the Eagles new QB1 looking ahead at the 2025 season and one that I could see good probability as being a senior bloomer in his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='592229' first='Izaak' last='Johnson'], Cretin-Derham Hall Twitter

Izaak by far was my favorite 2026 quarterback in attendance during Week 10 of the 612Qs QB Academy and hopefully the clip I got on video below shows why. The 6'3 200 pounder from CDH, had the most sound mechanics, arm strength, accuracy and just pure overall balance across the board throughout the reps we got to watch yesterday in Savage as Izaak was also a top performer when my colleague [player_tooltip player_id='1292679' first='Oliver' last='West'] was in attendance at the Minnesota Grind tryout a couple weeks ago too. I came away also very impressed with how well-versed Izaak's movement was getting out the pocket on his throws, as he spun the ball very well especially on deep routes yesterday. Currently our QB3 in our 2026 rankings, Izaak is one that I believe will move up the chain even further once we get into camp season as a name college coaches NEED to know in this 2026 class out of Minnesota.
