5 Exceptional Defensive Lineman climbing the ranks

He lines up at Linebacker and EDGE. He plays the hybrid LEO role and is exceptional in that position. He showcases good technique, has a great package of moves to get by his blocker, he possesses a great swim move and bull rush. His active hands allow him to push the Lineman backward and he has the brute strength to knock him off balance and push him out of the way where he can use his closing speed to get to the ball carrier. Naufahu does an excellent job at diagnosing plays quickly and when engaging, does well to shed his blocker and he has excellent pursuit and an uncanny ability to be around the ball and make a play on it. He is a nimble athlete with good overall speed and good coverage skills. He is best as an on-ball backer if he's asked to do that but the hybrid LEO or EDGE will be his calling at the next level. He has a natural feel for the game and shows great instincts. He sheds blockers with ease and showcases great strength and speed combination. His release off the line is great and an explosive player off the line. He showcases good hands and an array of moves to get by his blocker and has great bend at the hip. Carter is a playmaker and an exciting EDGE rusher who has an infinity for disrupting plays and blowing them up in the backfield. He can get to 240 lbs with his frame. He is athletic and a fun player to watch. He lines up at Linebacker, EDGE, and plays Tight End on offense. Albrecht is best as the hybrid LEO where he can roam and make plays. He showcases explosivity off the line with an array of moves to get by his blocker and showcases a relentless motor with good closing speed. Albrecht does a good job of shedding his blocks as well and getting to the ball carrier. If he focused his time exclusively at Tight End, he would have the potential to be 1st team All-State. Albrecht shows great awareness and body control with good footwork and displays soft hands and good concentration at the catch point. He is a Power-Four recruit and will be recruited as such. He'll line up along the entire line but is best as an EDGE rusher where he can utilize his bend at the hip and be able to dip under his blocker or use his bull rush to get his blocker off-centered and then close to make a play on the ball carrier. Oeser does a good job at shedding his blocker and nicely works downhill. He can work as an undersized interior defensive tackle but he will need to get closer to 240 to do that comfortably. As an EDGE rusher he can dominate with his blend of speed and power and with his bull rush, he can make a lot of damage and create a lot of chaos. He plays alongside the entire line and does a good job playing the interior defensive tackle, gets small through the line, and explodes once he slips past the lineman. Castro is a technically sound player with good technique and as an EDGE rusher, good power and a bull rush to get the lineman off balance and his closing speed helps him get to the ball carrier. He has good footwork and is a player who will continue to develop, an exciting prospect.
