2028 Next Up Watchlist Prospects

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deep dive into the 2028 watchlist prospects that will shoot up the rankings as they gain varsity experience.</h2>   <p>* Must have varsity film to be eligible for the rankings.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Sculley is an advanced QB for a freshman. 6'3” 180 lbs. he's got good length in his frame to get added extension on his throws giving him plus arm strength. Throws a good ball with smooth arm action and a quick release. Shows he can put velocity on the ball to the short/intermediate level to fit it in a tight window or throw with touch downfield. Does a good throwing his receivers open and placing it to allow his receivers to run after the catch. Precise with his footwork in the pocket, his feet are calm throughout his drop back landing with a well-balanced throwing platform to boost his quick delivery and accuracy. High football IQ and good field vision to see coverage, quick and decisive with his reads to make smart decisions with the football and not force it into coverage. Like his ability to go through his progression and find the open man. He's quick and explosive in the short area flashing his fluidity when changing directions and accelerating out of his cuts. Possesses the long speed and sustained second gear to stretch the field vertically at WR or stay in phase in coverage downfield. Plus ball skills, he's confident with his hands and attacks the ball in the air to compete at the high point. A long strider his speed gives him great range to cover all three depths and recover quickly to close separation. He's quick in the hips to smoothly transition out of his back pedal and can accelerate in the short area to turn and run with receivers downfield. Active hand usage, uses his length to his advantage to push receivers off their line and create positional leverage to close the throwing lane. Versatility allows him to play multiple positions in the secondary effectively and play both press and off coverage. Saw some varsity action as a freshman, including in the state championship game. First offered by Arizona in the Fall and will quickly rise up rankings and recruiting boards going forward.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Impressive natural ability as a passer with good upside and potential as he develops. Athletic frame at 6'2” 175 lbs. with a live arm that doesn't lose velocity throwing off different platforms. Plus ball placement skills throwing a catchable ball to all three levels, shows he can mix up speeds and be on time to put it in a spot where only his receiver can make a play on it. Consistent with his release and accuracy under pressure demonstrating that he can stand in the pocket and deliver while taking a hit. Like his ability to land and throw to the short/intermediate levels driving off his back foot to zip a one ball with good timing and anticipation. Puts good air and trajectory on the deep ball to allow his receivers to track, adjust, and run underneath. Picked up his first D1 offer from Bethune-Cookman and is one to watch as he progresses.</p>     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other prospects to watch:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Strong physical skillset and natural ability. He's a multi-sport athlete (football/basketball/track) that can play both sides of the ball. Was the youngest player invited to the AZ Adidas Pro Day. High ceiling prospect that possesses D1 ability.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Checks a lot of boxes in terms of size and physical ability at 6'3” 190 lbs. A plus athlete with natural movement skills that runs well and has good strength in his frame. Picked up his first offer from Memphis as an eighth grader. Great upside to build on.</p>
