Continuing my list of underrated players in our 2026 rankings, today I will be going into the wide receivers. We had so many great players, however there are ton of depth and value with the later rankings. These receivers might have slipped under your radar, however it's important to get to know these prospects.

Measuring in at 6'1 175-pounds, Brown accounted for 260 yards on 12 receptions with 4 touchdowns. Brown has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, jumping, and good change of direction. Brown has a very good release especially against the press jam. He uses his very quick feet to beat the DB at the LOS creating yards between them. Very good separation quickness due to his mental processing and athletic ability. Brown will either outrun the DB or sit in the open zone void patiently waiting for the completion. Very good ball tracking skills and catching. While he's going down, he keeps his hands underneath, good ball security. Brown has good body control and adjustments, allowing his body to contort to get the catch. After the catch, he uses his homerun speed to blaze past the defense. Good mental processing extending his arms to get a touchdown. An exciting young player who I expect to have more of a role in Mountain Vista's offense since their top two wide receivers have graduated.

Balistreri had himself a nice season for Arvada West. Measuring in at 6'1 160-pounds, Balistreri had 50 receptions for 738 yards and 4 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, acceleration, good speed, and good change of direction. Balistreri is physical at the line of scrimmage against the press jam. Good release against both press jam and off coverage. Good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and physicality. He'll fight through contact during the route. Very good ball tracking skills and catching. He extends his arms and uses his suction hands to come down with the catch. After the catch, he uses his good change of direction to make defenders miss. He is a big threat wide receiver, and I'm excited to see how he does next season!

Tripp is a tri-sport athlete who plays basketball, running track, and football. The 6'1 185-pound receiver had 31 receptions for 581 yards and 8 touchdowns, 10 carries for 74 yards and 1 touchdown. Whenever his QB needed an easy completion, Tripp was his guy. He has good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, good speed, acceleration, and jumping. Tripp has a good release against both off and press jam. Good separation quickness. He'll find an open pocket and exploit it. Good ball tracking skills and catching. After the catch, he uses his very good change of direction and very good vision to make multiple defenders miss as he runs into the endzone. He's very shifty out in space. Watch out for Tripp this upcoming season.

I had the pleasure of watching Esparza perform first-hand at one of our showcases. The dual-sport athlete brought his talents both to track and field team, as well as the football squad. The WR had 23 receptions for 254 yards and 1 touchdown. 23 total tackles (9 solo, 14 assisted), and 2 TFL. Esparza has good athletic ability due to his very good jumping, change of direction, good acceleration, and speed. Good release against both off coverage and press jam. Uses his very shifty feet to get an advantage of the defensive back. Good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and play strength. Good ball tracking and catching. Good body control. Small but mighty, he'll fight through contact and come down with the contested catch. After the catch, he uses dynamic juke moves to make defenders miss. I'm excited to see how Esparza does next season after a stellar start to the off-season.

Kyle played WR and DB this past season for Mullen. He had 22 receptions for 365 yards and 2 touchdowns. 29 total tackles (16 solo, 13 assisted), 9 PD, 1 FF. Kyle has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, jumping, and good change of direction. Good release against both off and press jam. Good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and play strength. Very good ball tracking skills and catch in traffic. Catches the ball in stride by plucking it out of the air. Very good body control. He kept both feet in bounds on a sideline throw. With the ball in his hands, he uses his home run speed to run through the defense into the endzone. Very good defensive back too. He is a physical DB who uses his very fluid hips to stay locked onto the wide receiver. Very good man coverage sticks like glue. He'll swat the ball away and keep fighting after the WR gets the catch. Kyle will get some looks as he is a fantastic 2-way player.
