A Louisiana-heavy field of teams met in Shreveport for the second annual Louisiana NG7 Jambalaya Jam 7-on-7 tournament.

And the event featured a slew of eye-catching performances ranging from some of the state's top prospects to under-the-radar and up-and-coming players of all ages.

Prep Redzone Louisiana will spotlight more than two dozen student-athletes this week broken down by position groups and recruiting cycles.

Here's a look at six quarterbacks who were among the standouts in 18U action.

Khyrie Francisco — 6-2, 200 QB — St. Martinville (2026)

The tall, athletic dual threat quarterback helped lead the fifth-highest scoring offense of the weekend for a Louisianimals squad that gave eventual champion Team Heru Raw its closest matchup of the event. Francisco is an under-the-radar prospect in Louisiana's rising senior class, but possesses a good frame for the next level and a zip to the ball out his hand with just a flick tor each anywhere on the 7-on-7 field with relative ease.

[player_tooltip player_id='401749' first='Cole' last='Bergeron'] — 6-4, 210 QB — St. Thomas More (2026)

The Cougars' passer is a great fit at the helm of the 4th Quarter Mentality offense, which feasts on vertical shots to its tall, speedy targets. Bergeron has a strong arm, plays with poise and patience and shows good touch to drop balls in over the top of the defense and give his weapons opportunities to go make plays. Indiana had represented his biggest offer, but UCLA, Oklahoma State and Florida Atlantic have started ramp up their recruitment and the hometown Ragin' Cajuns made their move Tuesday with an offer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250887' first='Peyton' last='Houston'] — 6-0, 195 QB — Evangel Christian (2027)

The highest-profile quarterback at the event lived up to that billing to help lead Team Heru Raw to the tournament title with far-and-away the highest-scoring performance of any team. Houston struck a great balance between taking what defenses allowed to sustain drives and showing the confidence in his arm and in his weapons to take — and more often than not deliver on — some nice strikes downfield and through tight windows. Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Georgia, LSU and Miami have been among some of the steadiest presences in his recruiting process. Florida State, LSU and Georgia have been among recent visits, with Florida State and Michigan his most recent offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250281' first='Karsen' last='Sellers'] — 6-2, 175 QB — Alexandria (2027)

The Trojans' rising junior had a solid start to the weekend in particular before a tough final pool game against the tournament runner-up and then running into a buzzsaw in the eventual champion in the semifinals. When Sellers and the JackBoyz were hitting, his well-placed deep balls to the team's big receivers were among Saturday's highlights of the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552680' first='Devion' last='Stewart'] — 6-3, 185 QB — Booker T. Washington (Shreveport) (2028)

The youngest passer on this list, the Lions' freshman already has a great frame and build for his age and roped some of the weekend's prettiest deep balls down the sideline for touchdowns. Stewart is a multisport athlete at his school and has the potential to be an interesting player to monitor at the position as he develops during the next couple years.

[player_tooltip player_id='915063' first='Kaleb' last='Williams'] — 6-1, 155 QB — Parkway (2026)

"KB" helped lead Team Heru Rare, the first-year organization's second team in the tournament, to the third-highest scoring weekend of any team, a No. 6 finish in pool play standings and a semifinal appearance. The younger brother of LSU women's basketball star Mikaylah Williams is recovering from an injury that forced him to miss much of the fall. And, while he was able to connect on a few nice throws downfield, his even-keel demeanor and way players gravitated to him and followed his lead particularly stood out.
