Well-balanced and quick RB here named [player_tooltip player_id='1328866' first='James' last='Mobley Jr']. that stands in at 5'9” and weighs 175-pounds. This is a football player that has playing experience at WR and DB but majority of the playing reps came at the RB position where Mobley Jr shined. Mobley Jr. has all types of moves in his rotation to get around defenders in open space. Between using physicality or quickness, this is a RB that did it all for Brighton's offense. The ball-carrier vision to find a hole and hit into it was very evident on tape. Many times, Mobley Jr. was able to get into the second level of the defense with ease to pick up a huge gain. The ability to break off tackle attempts was present and Mobley Jr contact balance enhanced this ability. There was no hesitation, and an ability to fall forward if Mobley Jr. did get tackled by a defender. I was impressed by the quick feet and cutting ability in between tackle attempts that Mobley Jr. was able to display. Developing more breakaway speed will take this young man's game to the next level.

If you like stat lines, then here is one for you from this past season. This is a CB and WR from McQuaid Jesuit High School named [player_tooltip player_id='726203' first='Xavier' last='Cox']. From his junior season, Cox allowed only 1 TD, had 2 INT, had 6 TDs, and 1 KOR. When operating at the WR spot, Cox showed off his extreme hand eye coordination. The ability to snatch the ball out of the air and make one handed grabs flashed. This is a player that can high point the football and was able to adjust within his routes when the ball was thrown in his direction. Additionally, Cox was able to make multiple toe-tapping grabs near the sideline for huge first downs. Cox is a specialty player that the McQuaid's offense could line up in the slot, and also in the backfield as a RB because of the quickness that he displays in the open field. When it came to Cox's ability at the CB position, he was able to produce even more in my opinion. The ability to stay relaxed, confident, and bait the QB was second to none on tape. Cox will come up and make tackles on ball carriers by securing low at the ankles or the mid-thigh region. Between having success since being on varsity his freshman year, being a two-time Section V Champion, and being a Class AA All-Star selection this past year, [player_tooltip player_id='726203' first='Xavier' last='Cox'] is on his way for a big final year at McQuaid Jesuit and has a bright future beyond.

A 6'0”, 215-pound LB that will hit ball carriers in the hole with force and explosiveness. [player_tooltip player_id='619468' first='Ronin' last='Walker'] has the athleticism to chase down players and move from sideline to sideline in all types of fashion. One of the biggest strengths in Walker's game was his recognition of plays, how fast he was able to diagnose such plays, and then react to what was going on in front of him. The first-step quickness in both Walkers rush in the blitz and in coverage showed throughout his tape. When it comes to playing against the run, I was impressed with how Walker can dip low, stack & shed, and play with complete leverage at the POA when making tackles on the ball carriers. Walker showed he has playing experience with the Mike, Weak, and Strong side linebacker. Some of Walker's best plays were adjusting to running QBs in open space and being able to stop them for a meaningless gain. It is proven that when Walker gets to the opponent, he is a secure tackler. That is why Walker ended the season with 105 total tackles, 70 solo tackles, 7 TFL, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. Walker will be entering his final year at Rush Henrietta and will be looking to beat his stats from last season.

The patient, smart, and sticky CB from Aquinas Institute is [player_tooltip player_id='606249' first='Amere' last='Brewer'] who knows how to attack the football and get after the opponent. Brewer is entering his senior season looking to make a huge splash coming off an already impressive campaign allowing 0 TDs. The 5'10” CB excels at being able to track the football down the field, stays within grasps of WRs because of his deep speed, and knows how to turn at the right times to make a play on the football. When diagnosing that a play was a run or a screen pass, Brewer does a great job at flying up the field to make a tackle on the ball carrier. This is a CB that played in a lot of off zone coverage, but he was able to mix in some man-to-man reps in goal line situations. For the size that Brewer has, his play strength comes off very aggressively and was able to make impactful hits on WRs. This is a CB that takes good pursuit angles in both the run and pass. I expect Brewer's coverage ability and confidence to improve even more this next year.

It was probably my favorite tape to watch in Section V this season. Such an electric football player that put on an absolute show in his junior season for Monroe High School. The WR is [player_tooltip player_id='505856' first='Messiah' last='Hampton'], and he stands in at 6'1”. For Hampton, he had 1900 all-purpose yards and 21 TDs on the year for his team. The pure ability to high point the football and prove that Hampton is a better ball player than the DB showed up constantly on tape. The straight speed, acceleration, and burst with the ball in his hands were elite traits to watch on tape. Hampton took screens, punt returns, deep passes, jet sweeps, crossing patterns, and all types of plays to the endzone to display his ability to outrun every defender in space. The foot quickness and sharp route running ability allowed Hampton to gain separation throughout games. What was really impressive was the physicality that Hampton displayed when being pressed at the LOS and being able to use his body to out leverage defenders at the POA. Being able to have above-average body control to make contested catches at a consistent rate is a very challenging task to accomplish and Hampton made it look easy. You could line Hampton up at the X, Y, or Z and he could run the majority of the route tree with ease. Hampton is the best Section V player I have scouted.

The multi type of player for Rush Henrietta High School here with Brendan Magnone. For playing FS, QB, CB, and K this past year, Mangone put up impressive numbers with 1380 passing yards, 8 passing TDs, 614 rushing yards, and 10 rushing TDs. At the QB position, Mangone is an improviser as he could scramble to keep plays alive to then find his intended targets in the endzone. The read option was a heavy staple in this offense with Mangone. Read option plays granted Mangone a lot of success on the ground because of his quickness and speed to run away from defenses. However, Mangone was able to deliver in the passing game hitting passes down the field. Many accurate passes near the boundary or over the shoulder were hit in stride and a continuation of development here into Magone junior season is only going to attract more offers. For the FS position, Mangone knows how to read and react to come up with powerful tackles on ball carriers in between the hashes. The endless amount of hustle and not giving up on plays showed up tremendously on tape. The ability to play centerfield and be that last line of defense showed up. A very impressive player that will have a huge junior season ahead of him.
