Running Backs to Watch in the 2028 Class

He is stuck behind two dynamic running backs, so he did not get a ton of playing time, but when he did, he played at a high level. Larue is a good athlete who has elite speed. When he hits the hole, he explodes through the hole and makes defenders miss. He is especially lethal on outside runs where he shows the vision and speed to hit the hole for a big play. He is a legit athlete with excellent speed. He has a chance to be a good player going forward. I expect Chappelle to get on the field next year for a loaded Imhotep squad. He probably should get some spot duty at running back and as a returner. Holton probably projects more as a slot wide receiver, but he has the potential to play as both a running back and a wide receiver. As a wide receiver, he shows great quickness and speed. He is excellent at catching short passes and making defenders miss in space. For a 9th grader last year his route running was excellent. He has a great feeling as a running back as he hits the hole well. He shows good speed and quickness when he runs the ball. He easily makes defenders miss and he is also a physical runner. The best part of his running style is his patient running ability. He can be patient and hit the hole with great balance and quickness as a player. He also is a tough runner that is hard to bring down. His film is from Junior Varsity, but he shows a good ability to cut and make defenders miss. He does a good job of using his speed when he gets into the open field to outrun the defense. He is excellent at taking a hit and keeping his legs moving.
