is one of the best athletes in the state. His ability to play on both sides of the ball is excellent. On offense he played as both a running back and a slot receiver. At both positions he shows a good ability to make plays. He ran the ball and caught the ball all over the field. He has special quickness and bursts to make defenders miss. Then on defense his ability to play in space is excellent. He is good at playing as an outside linebacker and playing as a edge defender. He does well by running around and making plays all over the field. Mason is a talented athlete on both sides of the ball.

needs to be considered a true two-way athlete. Has a 335 max squat, a great number for a current freshman. Got the chance to see him with 412Elite early in March.

currently holds offers out of Syracuse and Akron, a fantastic start to his recruiting campaign. I applaud both programs for identifying the freshman early on. Has a four-minute-long freshman tape that fully encapsulates his two-way prowess. Mason’s first rep on tape has him showing off home-run hitting speed. You can see Mason work at back behind different looks, with Mason proving to be comfortable running out of I sets. Mason works with fantastic balance and forward momentum. The freshman weighs somewhere around 180 pounds, yet the momentum and drive in his legs likely makes him feel ike 200+ to defenders attempting to tackle him in the secondary. What’s intriguing are his reps at safety. Mason’s abilities at DB likely enticed the likes of Akron and Syracuse to offer early, this kid isn’t a one-trick pony. He proved himself valuable at West Mifflin, running behind

yet also contributing seriously on defense. Safety reps prove Mason’s value both in pass coverage and in support of the run, his tape makes this known within the first two minutes. I have a feeling Mason will likely get recruited to play back, yet it’s icing on the cake to see him serve such a pivotal role on defense too. Great prospect.

is a good running back for West Mifflin High School. The best part of his running style is his patient running ability. He can be patient and hit the hole with great balance and quickness as a player. He also is a tough runner that is hard to bring down. He has all the tools to be an excellent running back next year and going forward.

Already has more muscle mass than the majority of HS upperclassmen in the country. Fast, punishing RB that wears defenses down through four quarters.

is someone I had the pleasure of seeing play at the Prep Redzone 7 on 7 tournament. He was a standout on the AIT Team. He played well both as a wide receiver and as a defensive back. He projects as a running back who could also play as a slot receiver. He shows a good ability to catch the ball and make people miss in space. Mason has the tools to be a good athlete and could play all over the field.

had several big defensive plays for AIT. He had an interception and was all over the field on defense. On offense, he ran good routes and caught the ball well. Mason showed he could do it all on the football field.

A big back that looks like he has the size and strength to be a workhorse for Duquesne in the next couple of years. 5’9 and 165 lbs. of pure strength, Mason by some accounts may not be known for his pass catching ability, but that doesn’t mean he cannot show out tomorrow. A big bruiser like him would only being doing himself more favors if he is able to make a difference in AIT’s fast paced offense. Curious to see if he will line up anywhere defensively, he has the speed and coverage to play linebacker too.

– Tough, gritty running back/linebacker prospect that has helped lead Duquesne Middle School to an undefeated season with only a few games remaining in the season
– Brings the physicality from his middle linebacker position on defense, to the running back position on offense. Rather then run from it, he embraces contact
– Moves well for a bigger back right now at 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds (unofficially). His change of direction and vision are among the best I’ve seen in western PA 2028 backs
– Can run a little too-tall at times, leaving himself open to some hits that may hurt a bit more on the high school level. If he can improve his breakaway speed and center of gravity, he’s going to get even better
