The Jr. Jay's never fail to bring up top-tier underclassmen in their OL/DL group, and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1590726' first='Gavin' last='Trapp'] looks next in line. Despite limited tape, it's clear that Gavin has the potential to garner lots of attention as he continues to grow and develop. He plays with great explosiveness when firing out of his stance and generates a good initial push to drive blockers off the ball. He can then use his hands and tap into his mean streak to disengage from linemen before making a beeline for the QB/ball carrier. Buy stock now!

Although Justin didn't have much varsity tape, it was hard not to add him to the initial 2028 class rankings after his Stock Up performance last month. Only a freshman, Justin already has the size at 6'5" and 265 lbs, along with a lengthy, athletic frame that will for sure catch the attention of college coaches. At the showcase, Justin really impressed with his footwork, great use of hands, and ability to win the leverage battle. He showed that he was strong enough to take on aggressive bull-rushers with the ability to anchor down to stall them at the line of scrimmage. Very good prospect from a program that has been pumping out top-tier players for a while... keep an eye out for this guy!

Talk about a bad dude! Gretna freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1573579' first='Cayson' last='Schlotfeld'] didn't flinch as he stepped up to the plate as the Dragon's starting linebacker, capping his frosh season with 76 tackles, six TFLs, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble. At 5'8" and 220 pounds, Cayson definitely knows how to use his size to chop down ball-carriers. Schlotfeld reads his keys well with a quick trigger downhill. Cayson sniffs out screens very well and has the lateral quickness to shut those plays down. Watch out for him at fullback, too, as he is a punishing blocker who can explode through defenders as he paves the way for his RB.

Westview's [player_tooltip player_id='1590714' first='Scott' last='Miner II'] proved that he was too explosive and too much of a playmaker not to find ways to get him on the field. Miner played linebacker and served as a backup QB, ending the year with 60 tackles, 4 TFLs, two sacks, an interception, 61 passing yards, and two passing touchdowns. Defensively, Miner flashed lots of versatility as he did a great job roaming in coverage, is gap-sound, and is a relentless blitzer. He sees the field very well with solid closing speed to bring down the ball carrier before giving up any big gains. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Scott's passing ability next season, as he flashed a pretty nice arm with some accurate, timely throws. Very high upside for the Wolverine's prospect!

Rounding out the top 10 is Alliance freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1590706' first='Caysen' last='Robertson'], who had a super productive season. Caysen ended the year with 106 tackles, 4 TFLs, three fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles. He is listed as an outside linebacker but seems to play a lot of slot/nickel DB and projects very well at DB. What stands out about Caysen when watching his tape is his aggressiveness and willingness to be physical despite being a freshman playing on the varsity level. He does an excellent job fighting off perimeter blocks when stepping up to help against the run. Robertson also displays great instincts and the ability to read opposing offenses quickly, as he'll either spring downhill to plug up run lanes or flip his hips to drop into coverage. Solid speed, range, and balls skills.
