Massive addition for the Viking's secondary as they add one of the top sophomore safeties in [player_tooltip player_id='487729' first='Jayden' last='Cannon']. Jayden is a smart and instinctive safety with the range to cover large chunks of the field. He does a great job sitting back and analyzing the offense before planting and breaking on the ball, also displaying the speed to close on the ball carrier quickly. Cannon flashes good physicality at the point of attack with a solid frame (6'0", 190 lbs) to drive through opponents and secure the tackle. Very good range with the ability to get depth going north/south and coverage from sideline to sideline. Very reactive and will quickly recognize which receivers to pick up in coverage. Excited to see how Jayden will be utilized next season!

Lincoln East's [player_tooltip player_id='644078' first='Colton' last='Tucker'] is a player who will only keep rising as he spends more time on the field. To cap off his sophomore campaign, Tucker recorded 59 tackles, 2 TFLs, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Tucker is a talented wrestler whose skills translate very well to linebacker with his great use of leverage, aggressive mindset, and ability to shed blocks. He effectively fills his gaps while using his hands and strength to press linemen off him and disengage from blocks. Colton's quick instincts and football IQ allow him to flow/track the ball very well. Strong tackler who can stonewall ball carriers on initial contact and can wrestle them down to secure the tackle.

Who can't use a run-stuffing interior defender? That's exactly what you get out of sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1297752' first='Jace' last='Campbell'], who quietly had a great season playing defensive tackle for Centura. The stats don't tell the full story for Jace, as he recorded 18 tackles, 3 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a blocked kick while providing a dominant presence on the interior DL. He fires out of his stance very well, exhibiting tons of explosiveness in his hips and great pop in his hands when he makes initial contact. Campbell keeps a low center of gravity, which allows him to attack with great leverage and get his hands "underneath" defenders to stand them up and walk them back.

Although I don't have a ton of tape on Bellevue West's [player_tooltip player_id='1085134' first='Gage' last='Brown'], it's clear from the clips I've seen that he has the tools to develop into a quality OL prospect. Gage is listed as a tackle, but it seems like he was moved across the offensive line and probably projects best as a guard/interior OL. I was very impressed with his explosiveness on pulling blocks, displaying top-tier lateral quickness with great "pop" in his hands as he drives through defenders. He is an excellent finisher who always looks to put his opponent in the dirt. Would definitely like to see some more of Gage's tape.

One player who I think is set to take a big step next season is sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1086172' first='Parker' last='Douglas'], who will look to fill one of the Badger's starting receiver spots. Already as a sophomore, Parker displays a great understanding of how to attack defenses and use a DB's leverage against them to create separation. He has the straight-line speed to slip past defenses vertically and does a great job tracking the ball in the air. Nice twitch with the ball in his hands and the burst to separate from the defense once he finds the open field.
