Prospect Sheet Deep Dive: Collins Hill Eagles

Collins Hill has proven to be one of the premier programs in Georgia over the last several years. They consistently push players into the college ranks, and there are a handful on their current roster who will continue that trend. He is a violent downhill pursuer of the football and has a knack for creating chaos plays against the football. He times his blitzes brilliantly, allowing him to get runaways at the QB. He arrives at the blindside of the QB before they can even register what happened. He is a prototype run-and-chase defender who can roam and rally to the ball.     It's well documented at this point, but Deuce Geralds is one of the best combinations of speed and power in the entire country. So much so, that he is a playmaker on offense as well, flashing surprising mobility and nearly 20 MPH GPS speed, making him unstoppable in space. He has the speed to instantly catch the edge and the power to settle down and set the edge. Geralds should be viewed as a high-floor prospect who will start several years at the P4 level.     Fitzhugh, now up to 6'3 280, has power potential on the offensive front and has room to add even more weight. He plays with excellent leverage on down blocks, good hand placement, and has the power to decleat defenders on impact blocks. Given his skillset and frame, Fitzhugh projects as an IOL.     Atticus Joseph is a two-sport athlete who could be a late riser on the recruiting trail. Joseph has solid measurables and flashes impressive contested catch ability, winning with verticality consistently. He showcases natural hands, plucking the ball away from his body and securing it. Joseph is explosive off the snap, quickly eliminating cushion. Joseph is worth a look at WR for D1 programs.     Samecken is a solid blend of speed and power. He pass rushers with good pad level. He is explosive out of his stance and flashes solid closing speed to the football when he has a runway. He might need wide alignment to win around the edge, but I think he can consistently win with a bull rush as he grows and continues turning speed to power.     [player_tooltip player_id='283873' first='Katrell' last='Webb'] has generated recruiting buzz since his freshman season. He has seemingly bounced back and forth between several spots on both sides of the ball. It looks like he is starting to settle in as an edge defender. His length and speed is enough alone to win, but he bends exceptionally well for his size. Even with plenty of P4 offers under his belt, he still feels like an underrated recruit nationally given his elite traits.    2027 Standouts    Robert Fitzsimmons is certainly raw and learning how to move with his frame, but you can't teach power. When he gets hands-on defenders, he proves capable of washing them down the line. With quicker feet, his game will rise to another level, as he is capable of escorting defenders to the water cooler.     There's a lot to like on tape about Henderson, who looks to have a solid feel for the game at RB. Vision is a plus at this stage, putting his cleats in the ground and frequently slipping through lanes up front between tackles. He keeps his feet active across several phases, allowing him to sway into new running lanes. He isn't a burner, but he stays on his feet well for a smaller guy and exhibits good contact balance.     [player_tooltip player_id='508131' first='Jamel' last='Tuff'] is a well-covered player for us here at Prep Redzone. Here is my most recent eval:   "[player_tooltip player_id='508131' first='Jamel' last='Tuff'] has made a strong name for himself over the last year on the camp circuit, and he will build off of that success at our camp. Tuff will test pretty well, but he is a savvy route runner who can create deception and cause DBs to hesitate. Tuff is battle-tested, which will bode well for him on the camp scene this offseason."     Here is a recent eval on [player_tooltip player_id='734231' first='Jeremiah' last='Proctor'], who has been one of my favorites in the 2027 class for several months now:   "I saw [player_tooltip player_id='734231' first='Jeremiah' last='Proctor'] shortly after his freshman season, and he stuck out like a sore thumb. He is all of 6'2 190 and will carry 200+ pounds with ease. He is a little raw and moves like a baby deer, but his footwork is refined and his backpedal is clean. He plays with good instincts and tracks the ball well, allowing him to get to a spot and stick. Proctor handles in-breaking routes well at the top of his routes. His footwork allows him to match and mirror and he uses his length to attack the hands. He has solid ball skills and his length helps him not have to be perfect. As long as he's close, he has a chance of making a play. "     Recent eval on [player_tooltip player_id='354909' first='Makyree' last='Cross']:   "Collins Hill is one of the hottest teams in the state through the first 3 weeks, and some of that can be credited to the play of their new QB, [player_tooltip player_id='354909' first='Makyree' last='Cross']. I first saw Cross this offseason and was intrigued by his physical tools. He is listed at around 6'2 165 with more physical maturity left in the tank. He is a bit raw and might be clunky at times as a mover, but his athleticism flashes when he is in the open field. He has quick, natural arm action, allowing him to get the ball out in a hurry and fit it into closing windows."     [player_tooltip player_id='1671928' first='Jeremiah' last='Marshall'] is a candidate to break the varsity seal next year for Collins Hill. He played WR on JV, but a future move to TE seems probable. He is built well at 6'1 185 and offers contested catch ability on the outside. He uses his frame to protect the catch point and proves to be a chore for smaller defenders to line up across from him.     [player_tooltip player_id='661740' first='Trey' last='Moore'] moves well for his size and has plenty of room and time to grow. He is agile enough to pull, climb, and run in space to convoy. His feet are active at contact as well. Moore is developing at the point of attack, but he is well-equipped from an athletic standpoint, which will take him far given his size.
