The ground game was a true weapon for several teams in 6A this season, with backfields having multiple explosive playmakers who could change a game in an instant. After highlighting the biggest rushing tandems, it's time to turn the spotlight on the next wave of dominant duos who consistently torched defenses all year long. Here's a closer look at Nos. 4 through 6.

Brophy

[player_tooltip player_id='401151' first='Case' last='Vanden Bosch'] can really do damage with both his arm and his legs. An accurate passer for Brophy, he completed 73% of his passes in 2024 and showed a really good command of the offense. When he decides to take off, defenders don't stand much of a chance of keeping up with Vanden Bosch — his great pull-away speed and surprising agility make him a nightmare to bring down. With a cannon for an arm and the brain to use it intelligently, Vanden Bosch has a real chance to take over 6A next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='835498' first='Harrison' last='Chambers'] may have a smaller frame but he more than makes up for it with his aggressive run-style. The initial burst once he secures the ball is incredibly impressive. Able to fly through the chaos of the trenches and work his way through the second level. Once he gets there, his elite vision really takes over. Chambers has a way of using the open space to his advantage and can often outrun defenders to a spot. With both Vanden Bosch and Chambers returning as seniors, the rest of 6A will have their hands full trying to keep this backfield in check.

ALA Queen Creek

[player_tooltip player_id='1578363' first='Brandon' last='Brown'] was one half of the top rushing duo to feature two running backs, toting the rock for ALA Queen Creek. Finishing his senior season with over 1,050 yards on the ground and a whopping 16 touchdowns, he was the driving force of their offense for much of the season. His impeccable footwork allows him to get in and out of his cuts so fast that defenders are left grasping at air.

The other half of ALA Queen Creek's dominant ground game, [player_tooltip player_id='739456' first='Bobby' last='Nesbit'] is a real burner on the football field. He's got great speed that allows him to attack the smallest of seams and make defenses pay. He used his speed and nimbleness to become a true asset in the passing game as well. He runs crisp routes and has no problem creating separation even against defensive backs. He's a player I'm excited to watch as a feature back in his senior season.

Sandra Day O'Connor

[player_tooltip player_id='1242301' first='Bentley' last='Corbin'] was an absolute workhorse in his senior season for Sandra Day O'Connor. He finished his campaign with 1,356 all-purpose yards and a jaw-dropping 20 touchdowns. At first glance, he's a bruising and physical back that can really wear down a defense throughout four quarters. But then he shows some surprising break-away speed once he gets open space in front of him that rounds out his game. As such a versatile back, I have no doubt he'll make a big impact at the next level.

Jeremy Adeyanju is a massive back running the ball for Sandra Day O'Connor. As just a sophomore, he already stands at 6'1" 200 lbs and puts it to good use — able to effortlessly power through unsound tackle attempts. His long strides allow him to pull away from defenders on the edge as well. What stood out about Adeyanju's game most was his patience. In just his second year of high school football, his ability and willingness to wait for holes to open up in front of him before attacking them aggressively is incredibly impressive.
