Defensive Players To Keep An Eye On This Spring

Spring camps are a big time piece to the recruiting landscape and these camps serve as a great platform to ball out in front of colleges and scouts. Allen has a great motor from what I see on film, and he uses some violent moves to shed blocks on pass rushes. Although I would still label him a tad undersized at 6'2 215, I think more weight room time and more reps will cure any worry there. Caleb is no exception. A 4 sport athlete, this kid is a real competitor. His highlights show a high motor, a ton of strength and an ability to out-physical just about anyone line up in his path. I'd like to see him get more reps and get some college coaching at some camps this spring. He's a great athlete with a ton of upside. He moves well, he plays the ball extremely well and can cover in man or cover a ton of ground in a zone. On top of pass defense, he can also come up and play the run with some power and sure tackling. Not only is he a great defender, but he is also a state champion QB. Tanner could come out swinging this spring and boost his offers a ton before the start of fall camp. I know of his name, but I truly haven't been able to evaluate him fully. As far as I see on film, he's a physically imposing defensive lineman with good speed off the line and the ability to wrap up and make sure tackles. It looks like he moves well and has plenty of highlights where he has to pull off an athletic move to get free. He's a big framed EDGE with long limbs and great get off. His film has a TON to love about it. His speed and bend is great and his ability to win reps outside or inside really speaks to his versatility. I would love to see him in person this spring at some camps.
