In this edition, we examine some receivers primed to take the next step and be difference-makers for their offense.

Figiel is an all-around playmaker and a difference-maker on both sides of the ball. He has a solid frame that can carry additional weight without affecting his play on the field. Figiel is a fluid mover with great hips for lateral movement and change of direction. He has good speed with excellent hip fluidity. Figiel is a good route runner with solid footwork and showcases good fakes to get a corner off his line. He has excellent vision, anticipates two to three moves ahead of time, and makes defenders miss with his athleticism. Figiel showcases good ball-tracking skills and concentration at the catch point. He is a versatile receiver who can line up as a boundary receiver or in the slot, he has a diverse route tree with exceptional ability to win his intermediate routes and has the speed to house it with the ball in his hands. As a defender, Figiel is a physical cover corner with exceptional ball skills and dissects a play early on and will make a play on the ball. He is a player who is not afraid to get dirty, will come up in run support, showcases physicality, and will lay a hard hit to set the tempo for the defense. With his ball skills, anticipation and physicality, he would be an exceptional free-roaming safety. Overall he is an athletic playmaker who is a power 4 level player and will be a starter at that level.

Morton showcases tremendous speed and is a versatile receiver who excels with a full route tree. Morton showcases excellent ball-tracking skills and has a great catch radius. He displays strong hands and does well in contested situations. With the ball in his hands, he transitions well upfield with little wasted motion, and his top-end speed makes him a threat to take it to the house each time. Morton understands tempo and spacing, and will stack his corner with ease. With his track speed, he is a receiver you cannot overthrow, he will run under it and come down with the ball. He is an exceptional deep threat and deadly on vertical routes, Morton utilizes that to his advantage when running quick slants as he attacks the corner and gets them on their heels. Morton has excellent lateral speed and bend at the hip and is not just a straight-line runner. He is a playmaker and should garner regional attention in the recruiting circuit.

Ngata is an exceptional athlete with a great frame and should get to 230+ when his High School days are over. When the dust settles, he projects offensively as a prototypical X-receiver or transition to Tight End, where he can create mismatches as a move Tight End and a big slot. Ngata has a long wingspan and a large catch radius. He has strong hands and tracks the ball well. He is tough to bring down, picks up chunk yards after the catch, and creates separation well. Ngata is a physical player who is still learning to play with his frame. That frame and physicality make him an exciting prospect on defense where he has spent time as a Linebacker. Ngata projects as a SAM or EDGE on that side of the ball where his speed and raw skills naturally lead to speculation of being a full-time defender. He is an exceptional athlete and brings a lot of tools to the table and his skillset on offense is tantalizing. Ngata is similar to Jurrion Dickey and Malachi Coleman, two physical players who might naturally be better on defense but showcase such a good skillset on offense that you want to see if he can become a George Pickens type of player.

Dean is an exciting two-way player and a field-stretching receiver who utilizes his speed to stack corners which allows him to win vertically and is a big play threat. Dean has an array of release packages that allows him to win. He showcases good ball tracking and creativity after the catch. Dean is deadly with a free release and would make an ideal stretch slot but no problems working as a boundary receiver. He is a twitchy athlete and can work short routes where he can gain additional yards with the ball in his hands. Defensively, Dean is a ball-hawking cornerback who showcases great anticipation, quickly deciphers plays, and will jump off his intended man to make a play on the ball. He is a physical corner for his size, will play press coverage to jam a receiver, and isn't afraid to do the dirty work and help out in run support. Dean projects to be a big-time playmaking receiver who should get regional attention during the recruiting process.

Holmes is a twitchy receiver who showcases good footwork and easily creates separation. He is good at secondary moves and shows head and body fakes to manipulate his corner. Holmes is classified as an athlete and Salem Hills used him as a Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, and defensively as a cornerback. He transfers into Lone Peak who has a void at the receiver position and should come in and pair with JaSean Mayberry. Holmes brings good athleticism and should garner vacated targets. His twitchy athleticism allows him to win short and intermediate routes where he can work in unison with Mayberry.

Those are some under the radar receivers who are primed to take the next step in 2025.

In this edition, we examine some receivers primed to take the next step and be difference-makers for their offense.
