There is nothing I love more than getting a tape last second that changes the trajectory of our rankings in a great way, as that was the case when I got the tape on [player_tooltip player_id='1596559' first='Ryder' last='Sutton'] of Minot, who is our first QB1 in our 2028 North Dakota rankings. The 5'10 175 pounder shows off one of the best deep ball arms I have seen in this 2028 class, and not just in North Dakota either, I would argue in both of the Dakotas at the moment. His touch shows off an excellent release and just shows off a pure balance on tape. Ryder also is easily the fastest quarterback in this grouping by a longshot getting out of the pocket, as the speed we know is surely there, but I am also impressed with the instincts that you can clearly see from Ryder. He also shows off great technique on every throw and I would argue again, he probably is one the best 2028 QBs in the Dakotas when it comes to his mechanics too. He surely is one the most gifted underclassmen I have seen out of Minot recently, and I have seen a lot of great talent come out of the Magic City over the last five years.

We finally meet our RB1 from our North Dakota 2028 class, which is Bismarck Legacy's [player_tooltip player_id='1575830' first='Beckham' last='Presley-McKay']. The agile movement that Beckham shows off as sudden to these eyes, as it does not take him long to use his change of direction and instincts in those tight rushing windows. That twitch shows off plenty of consistency too which I love to see out of a new underclassmen. The excellent north-south vision that Beckham brings to the table is another skillset that remains consistent throughout his tape as this can either be a one-cut or multi cut back to find the big opening that creates the splash plays. The 6'0 170 pounder also has intriguing measurables for just a freshman as Beckham was an easy selection for me as an evaluator to make our RB1 in North Dakota amongst the 2028 class and has one of the bigger upsides in the class too in my eyes.

Jameson is a 2028 wide receiver that I placed as my WR1 in this initial class. At 6'4 170 pounds, getting a look at this young man from the eye test shows off more pluses than minuses when it comes to his high upside. Big long arms and what looks like an intimidating athletic base off the snap. As a a football scout, you sometimes take a crack at upside on where a young man might be ranked, as Jameson's upside is huge and I can't wait to see the tape.

Although the finished product of tight ends in a senior class in North Dakota is usually great, in the early classes like 2028s, they are a dime in a dozen but that doesn't mean the talent isn't there. Our TE1 also is an excellent hooper in the 2028 class, as our sister site Prep Hoops Dakotas has him as one of the top ranked prospects on the hardwood. The 6'5 205 pounder, shows off the high upside there is with his great catch radius, good fluidity for his age as a route-runner and surely is teaching himself quickly with the growth of his hands I have seen on light tape. They don't make freshmen tight ends that size very often, so again with the tape I evaluated and more, Wyatt comes into this inaugural 2028 class as our TE1.

We end it on offense and move to our top offensive linemen and our #1 overall 2028 prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='1104633' first='Jordan' last='Myers'] of Grand Forks Red River. Jordan has some of the most fluid footwork amongst the offensive line group in this 2028 class thus far in my eyes. Jordan is a pure finisher at the point of attack and at 6'1 220 pounds, I was impressed with his great technique he shows off with his hands as you can tell there is more poise with his hands than most in his class, obviously why he is our top 2028 in this North Dakota class thus far. Jordan also impresses me with the quick hand speed as they are able to quickly deteriorate defensive ends quickly in their tracks. The versatility of Jordan's blocking ability as an offensive tackle, is a big reason why he is our first #1 overall prospect in the North Dakota 2028 class.
