Willow Hill Dome was the location for players in the Mid-West, mainly Illinois ballers to come compete and showcase their talent in front of Prep Redzone coaches and scouts. Each position had an opportunity to go through drills, combines with other positions, then compete collectively. Regardless of class these young men mentioned below earned MVP honors by highlighting themselves after testing was over and the footballs hit the turf. Lets take a closer look at who got to rock the chain.

Zebulon came focused in a very talented RB group and separated himself in all phases. He immediately stood out going against the linebackers. With his size it's easy to assume that Zebulon is a power back, but he did a good job making defenders miss in space and ran routes affectively. Most notable was in the final minutes where he freed himself on a double move during one on ones that sealed the deal for being named MVP in front of everyone. In positional drills, he displayed great balance, explosion out of cuts and physicality to match his well put together frame.

Norwood has a calm demeanor until he puts his hand in the ground. He is a premier edge rusher with insane speed and get off. As he puts on the pounds most tackles will have their hands full trying to match his athleticism and strength. During drills he took coaching well and focused on getting past his man to the QB. This young man shows well and will continue to grab attention the more he gets eyes on him.

Big Ben walks it, talks it, and can back it up when the smoke arrives. This heavy boned juggernaut makes it look easy when anchoring down and punching the chest plates off defenders. He was a leader in the drills and led by example. When the lights came on to display his skills in front of the masses, he didnt disappoint. Light, quick feet and hand placement stop the rushers in their tracks and Ben finished to the echo of the whistle not letting anyone believe it was close. The right schools do the homework on this kid and they will not second guess the potential on Saturdays.

Axel is a prototype linebacker that can fill gaps, or run read to get back into pass coverage. He does it all well and showed confidence going up against some shifty backs in space. Axel is at his best when his shoulders are square to the line of scrimmage peering down whatever his target is during the play. Lateral movement and the agility to play downhill gave him the edge. With another year under his belt, I believe his numbers will only increase.

Mr. Ijams is more than a possession receiver. This guy has the goods to run the entire route tree affectedly to get open and be a consistent target for his quarterback. Lincoln is built like a solid pass catcher and snaps out of his breaks smoothly getting his eyes on the nose of the football early. You can tell he takes pride in his releases and attacks the ball in the air with good body control. I didn't see the ball get too close to his chest unless he meant it. I see his senior year being a special one as he continues to work hard and show out during the off-season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570743' first='Brody' last='Hasquin'] had his work cut out for him with some highly anticipated QBs walking in with noteworthy seasons. Mr. Hasquin locked in from start to finish showing his arm strength and accuracy during position groups. Mechanically and footwork wise there were no red flags. Once he linked up with the receivers it was evident that Brody knew how to spin the ball and put it where it mattered most. Throwing receivers open or dropping a nice touch pass deep all played into Hasquins earning a well deserved MVP honor.

Tyvon has crazy raw ability and it showed early. During testing he looked the part, and he had options to try different positions. Let's just say he's a pure athlete. It didnt matter if he was running forward at receiver, or backwards at DB, he made plays. The flexibility in his hips, the energy to get from point A to point B in a flash, and the ball skills to high point and show off his vertical was something to see. This young man can play any position he set his mind to and it's going to come down to him being able to control all his God given gifts. Tyron is another one who should be locked in to continue to forward his career at the next level.
