The Stock Up Showcase was full of offensive talent. At some points it felt like an offensive showdown. We had a plethora of wide receivers, with only 2 running backs and 2 tight ends signing up for the event. Even with limited players at the position, the respective players made the most of their opportunity, and shined at every corner. Let's dive into the analysis!

Releford's speedy performance at the 40-yard dash caught my eye. The 5'8 160-pound running back was one of top players who ran a 4.47 40-yard dash. The other was WR [player_tooltip player_id='1581247' first='Nolan' last='Case'] who I will discuss in a later article. Releford has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, speed, and very good change of direction. During the positional drills, his very quick feet were in constant motion not tripping on any of the pads. Releford showcased his elite acceleration and speed during the 1 on 1 against linebackers. He exceled in the receiver drills, catching everything thrown his way. He has very good catching and consistently plucked the ball out of the air. This kid is a stud, and I predict he will develop into a lethal weapon for Fountain Fort-Carson.

Lukes was the MVP of the running backs. The 5'10 195 running back is a bruiser runner, who can make an impact in the passing game. Very good catching. On one play, he jumped over the defensive back, adjusting his body to come down with the catch. He kept his hands underneath to secure it. Impressive especially coming from a running back. Lukes has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. Lukes used dynamic cuts to change his direction, making DBs miss. During the drills he showcased his very good acceleration to blaze through them accurately. He's a physical back, and runs like a man with purpose. Pine Creek has a developing young core, and Lukes is a major reason behind that.

Hodge has been consistent face at these showcases over the years. He is a consistent performer who was making big plays all day. Measuring in at 6'4 205, the junior was catching everything thrown his way. He has very athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. Hodge has very good catching and ball tracking skills. He used his very good athletic ability to create separation between himself and the DB. When the DB got physical, Hodge got more physical. Winning at the line of scrimmage or getting up high for the contested catch. He's a great player and has very good competitive toughness. He gives his all on each play and during each drill.

Paul was the 2nd tight end who showed up at the combine. The freshman measured in at 6'0 185-pounds. Paul has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, and jumping. He showed out in the drills, showing his reliable hands. Good catching skills. The freshman has good release against both off coverage and press jam. He used his athletic ability to create separation between himself and the DB. Paul also used his good mental processing to identify an open area for his quarterback. It was a good outing for Cody, and I'm excited to see how he develops over the course of his high school career.

The 6'0 160-pound Whish was cool calm and collected throughout the event. I was impressed with his ability not to get rattled, especially during the 1 on 1 drills. These defensive backs were very scrappy and physical against the wide receivers. Whish stood up to the challenge and thrived against the press jam. Good release. He has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, jumping, and very good change of direction. He fought through contact on the route, making himself open. Whish has good separation quickness due to play strength and mental processing. He showcased good ball tracking skills and good catching. Fort Collins has a blooming possession receiver on their roster.

Sean measured in at 6'4 170-pounds. The wide receiver out of Valor made a name for himself. He has lengthy arms and plucks the ball out of the air. He has very good adjustments, contorting his body to make the catch. Stewart has very good catching. Throughout the 1 on 1 drills, he was making finger tip catches look easy. May I remind you; they are not. Very good hands and hand strength to hold onto the ball even while getting contacted. He has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, acceleration, good speed, and change of direction. Stewart has very good ball tracking skills, always keeping his eyes on the football. He used his very good athletic ability to create separation between himself and the DB. He used his very good jumping to go up for the contested catch. I'm very excited to see him have more of an expanded role in Valor's offense next season. If he bulks up some more I see him turning into a top receiver in Colorado.
