Over 4,000 passing yards under his belt, this on the back of a 70% completion rate. Threw for 8 touchdowns in one game. I've had my eye on Friedman since he was a freshman, pleased to see exemplary tape out of him. Throwing motion is clean and compact, allows for quick decisions to be made. Good follow through, puts the sword in the sheath. Composed and calm in high-level situations. Heard good things about his work-ethic. There's a sense of urgency with each catch of the snap, Trickel seems to have a plan which is why I chose his decisiveness with the ball as his standout trait. I imagine Trickel is proficient in all things pre-post snap reads. Trickel shows off a dramatic hitch in the pocket, yet I'm impressed with his overall ball placement, this at all three levels of the field. Solid height/weight combination, could beef up to handle hits better in the pocket. He could use a boost via exposure from our site too. Opposing defenses will have to gameplan for Lewis the dual-threat weapon. Lewis has the quick twitch, the mobility skills to not only escape a pocket in a hurry, but also leave would-be tacklers in his dust. I saw Lewis live against Cumberland Valley, although he and the offense struggled, I came away impressed with the athlete he is behind center. Wouldn't be surprised to see him be recruited to play WR or DB, this not to say he isn't capable of garnering attention at the QB position. Was behind center for DB this Fall on his way to a 2,000+ all-purpose yard season. Athleticism through the roof, you're going to have to bottle this kid up in the pocket and force him to make tough throws into tight windows. If not, Moyer will extend plays and find passing lanes to exploit thanks to his eye discipline. Not locked onto one target, not tucking and running with his eyes in the turf giving up on plays. A quick hitter who can rely on his sound mechanics to get the ball out accurately and on time. A ton of mental fortitude is needed to work zone-read mesh sets with a back while pulling to hit stick or slant routes in front of him. Feltisky can do just that, working RPOs as a junior at North Catholic. NC can count on Felitsky being ahead of the curve from an IQ perspective. Many throws released before his target breaks, as well as before said targets are even considered open. I don't care what it looks like on tape, this stat line alone lets me know I'm dealing with a smart, disciplined, and accurate passer. Putting on Bricker's tape, I turned out to be correct. Downfield vision and accuracy are favorable areas of Bricker's game. A ton of early production on tape comes with Bricker identifying his open man and throwing a catchable ball for his target 30-40 yards downfield. Bricker's tape is a lengthy one, one I'll break down further in a separate piece. If Coyle stood at 6'3, 220, he would easily be looked at as one of the better QB prospects PA has to offer, this because of how good everything else looks. Clean mechanics, solid compact release, footwork looks clean. Accurate with a clean pocket, can complete passes at all three levels. Composed under pressure, precise on the move. Small in stature, yet willing to test tight windows more than 20 yards downfield. The young man is clearly confident in his own abilities, he nearly averaged two touchdowns per game before his season was cut short. Obviously I'd like to see more before elevating, yet his five-game tape proved enough. Replicatable mechanics that look the same each time, consistency in this area is crucial when evaluating a passer's development. Esbenshade displayed little dip, a good elbow placement, good arm angles, good base in the pocket too. I applaud his overall field vision. Yes, Esbenshade can get loose and run for yards if you let him, yet the kid can sit in the pocket, bounce between reads/targets, and deliver catchable balls. Sometimes that's all you can ask for in a kid. I didn't expect to see such a lively arm out of the 5'10, 165-pound passer. The ball easily lifts off his hand, a testament to mechanical work and powerful hip torque. I'd make the easy case that Stuckey has a more powerful arm than some of the quarterbacks on this list, especially ones that are over 6'1.
