Taking a look at [player_tooltip player_id='647668' first='Carson' last='Bellinger']'s recent single-game cut-ups(Penn Cambria & Central Valley), it's easy to make the assumption that NWL shouldn't expect much out of Bellinger. Just four passes completed between two games (that are on tape). NWL would be setting itself up for failure if they take this young man's talents lightly, I doubt they will. Taking a look at Bellinger's updated tape, I see a more confident and experienced version of the underclassmen who landed on our ranks this time last year. If NWL lacks in coverage, if they sleep on passing concepts attempting to get behind coverage, Bellinger has the range, accuracy, and confidence to uncork balls downfield. Avonworth might be riding the hot hand, the rushing attack has led them to victories each of the last two weeks. NWL cannot assume Avonworth will attack them solely through the ground, they need to prepare for Bellinger tossing balls over the top via play action sets, along with keeping improv situations to a minimum.

What NWL can expect to see...

[player_tooltip player_id='1591107' first='Luca' last='Neal'] posted a seven-minute highlight tape on Hudl less than 24 hours before writing. A forward-momentum type of runner. Avonworth is comfortable letting Neal take direct snaps behind center. Avonworth likes to overload the offensive line toward one side of the ball, often having multiple H-Back type blockers with him in the backfield. Avonworth is willing to punch the ball through a defense with beefy yet athletic linemen, [player_tooltip player_id='1591107' first='Luca' last='Neal'] is often the recipient of runs behind a wall of Antelopes. Can find Neal split out wide on occasions, he is more than a bruising back, this kid can come down with special catches if given the opportunity. A kid who runs with his knees and elbows flying at you. A great base, a kid with balance through the trenches, he's a tough one-on-one tackle. NWL is going to have to rally to the football to ensure 2-3 kids get in his way each time. The way Avonworth blocks, this is easier said than done. Expect to see Neal serve as a punt return man too, he's more than capable.

A player who should be ranked on our site, an oversight on my behalf. [player_tooltip player_id='1591107' first='Luca' last='Neal'] runs a ton of direct snap sets in which he's toting the rock. Older brother [player_tooltip player_id='1555560' first='Nico' last='Neal'] aligns in a more traditional sense, yet he can tote his fair direct snaps too. A bit bulkier and than his brother and counterpart. A great initial hole-reader, Nico can read his immediate blockers with enough patience to set up his second-level blocks. [player_tooltip player_id='1591107' first='Luca' last='Neal'] can provide pass-catching reps, provide home-run hitting ability, and serve as a quality return man, whereas [player_tooltip player_id='1555560' first='Nico' last='Neal'] can take the brunt of red zone snaps while also providing Avonworth with a back they can rely on to take 30-40 carries. Quite the tandem, surprised to find out that [player_tooltip player_id='1555560' first='Nico' last='Neal'] is unoffered at this time. Neal's tape has passing options sprinkled in too, NWL would be smart in watching for half-back passes.

This being my first time checking in on the linemen since our 2025 Ranking Update. Engelmore still made our ranks because of his traction in recruiting. I'm out of the loop as to whether or not Engelmore has been sidelined or for how long. Seeing that Avonworth can move the ball as well as they had on the ground without Engelmore's skills makes the Neal brother's production that more impressive. It's likely Engelmore was injured as a senior, a shame considering what he had done through his junior season. We wish him nothing but the best moving forward.

I have a feeling Bonnet will rise on our ranks yet again. Miami of Ohio has offered Bonnet, this standing as his lone offer to date, a bit surprised by that if I were honest. Bonnet is still accumulating a ton of fanfare and attention from FBS schools, I think it's likely a matter of time before his offer list grows.

Bonnet's full-season tape is just over three minutes long. Unreal blowback and displacement created on a consistent basis. Fires of the football with the intent to shock and drive kids out of holes. Can align at either left or right tackle. We can attribute the Neal brothers' success directly to Bonnet's ability to seal off defenders and flatten kids in his way. Any defenders that look to disrupt Bonnet at the point of attack is going to have to do so with speed. I'd place bets on Bonnet to win power matchups nine times out of ten. Expect to see Bonnet on top of defenders 10 yards off the ball. Expect to see Bonnet set the tone early against NWL. Arguably the best prospect on either side of the ball.

Not too many home-runs hit, not too many touchdowns scored, yet this young man is a capable back, we didn't rank him well for the hell of it.
I did some digging to learn more about a promising freshman seeing serious playing time on a State Title contender. Speaking on [player_tooltip player_id='1715434' first='Xavier' last='Harding'], of course. 6'2, 200 pounds. No X account to speak of. Looks like a potential OLB/TE prospect depending on how his frame develops. Already an unreal basis/foundation Harding gets to work with. The freshman is getting extensive looks at an early age, all while being developed behind the scenes by a program that is worthy of winning the 3A State Title.

Here's what an Avonworth coach had to say about Harding prior to the team's bout against NWL.

Xavier without a doubt is going to be special. He really started playing for us at the start of the playoffs and is now a key guy for us in several offensive and defensive sets. He is a tremendous blocker and plays on half of our offensive sets. His development has been huge for us during the playoffs. His blocking has allowed us to evolve our running game as you can see by our success. He is a road grader. Defensively he is a regular rotational guy. Next year I can see him starting at offensive tackle opposite of our D1 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1155897' first='Peter' last='Bonnet']. He is gonna be 6'5” plus when he finishes growing. Defensively in the future he is either an end or a 3 technique. His size and length are incredible at his age.

I second all that this quote states. Already a piece to the OL unit, often blocking as a bookend tackle in overloaded sets. If the young man is already a stout 6'2, the sky is truly a limit in terms of growth. This is an early offer candidate, a young man FBS teams should keep an eye on.

What NWL should expect...

Metz posted a defensive highlight just 24 hours prior to writing. A backer with toughness beyond his years. You can expect to see Metz align at interior backer in what looks like a 3-3-5 set. Most of these 3-3-5 sets have the third backer working at the LOS to serve as an edge defender/setter. [player_tooltip player_id='1591942' first='Bryce' last='Metz'] and his backer counterpart can read the flow of traffic in front of them and hunt for ball carriers. Metz is kid who has no problem taking on blocks, zero hesitation in this his game from what I can tell. Will be an immediate addition to our rankings when that time comes. Most of Metz's highlights have him sniffing out runs and making stops inside of 3-5 yards of the LOS. Those in attendance should keep an eye out for all things Metz, especially with NWL attempting to run between the tackles. Metz will be a deciding factor as to whether or not 3-5-yard run turn into 10-15-yard gashes.
