He is a true sideline-to-sideline linebacker. He runs around making plays all over the field. He is a good tackler at making plays in or near the line of scrimmage. His closing speed from the linebacker position is impressive. He also played as an off-ball tight end/h-back. He showed a good ability to block on the edge. He also showed a good ability to catch the ball. Metz is a good player in the 2027 class, and he currently has an offer from Davidson. I expect more offers to come his way.

His instincts are excellent as he understands football at a high level and how to make plays in and around the line of scrimmage. He is also a good tackler who is consistent with tackling. The other area of strength is how he runs sideline-to-sideline chasing plays. Metz is a good prospect who needs a big game to help Avonworth slow down the talented Imani Christian team. Metz is that good of a linebacker that I expect a big game from him.

He has excellent instincts as he reads the offensive play well and triggers upfield. He is a good run stopper by stopping most run plays between the tackles. Not to be outdone, he is also a good pass defender by dropping into zone and taking away passing lanes. Metz also runs sideline-to-sideline chasing plays all over the field. Metz should have a good chance to eventually get recruited to play College Football as he is a talented linebacker.
