Leading his Chargers team to the Class 3A championship game, Simpson had a stellar debut campaign this Fall where he established himself as the top quarterback prospect from our #TN2028 recruiting class and someone destined to eventually win Mr. Football. As a freshman, the Chargers signal caller threw for 4,135 yards on 239 completions with 59 touchdowns and only one interception. Those kinds of numbers are so strong that it will be tough for Simpson to replicate it moving forward but it's not out of the realm of possibility of happening either. His performance as a freshman showed how good this West TN quarterback is and how exciting it will be to follow his progress over the next three years.

The Cougars found their workhorse for the next three seasons in Starks after an outstanding debut season, where he helped lead Munford to a region title. This Munford freshman was not geared to be the team's starting running back but he quickly took over the lead role a few weeks into the season and never looked back. Starks put forth multiple monster performances on his way to 1,480 yards and 23 touchdowns throughout the regular season. Well balanced with power and speed, Starks has the look of a potential college guy one day but must continue developing and producing at a high level over the next three years. His debut season showed how good Starks could be, so expect bigger and better performances from this West TN running back.

Even as a freshman, Hickman played his way into becoming the Chargers top overall lineman that should warrant college looks sooner than later. This active, physical two way big man had an excellent debut season where he led all defensive lineman in tackles at 81 while also producing 20 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 4 sacks on the year. Hickman was near dominating from the D-line but he was also quite consistent and forceful with his work on the O-line as well. I do think his future in college will be on defense but Hickman should develop into one of the better two-way linemen coming out of our freshman in-state recruiting class.

There is another Eubanks coming out of the Mustangs program to keep an eye on over the next three years with this linebacker making a strong statement during his freshman season. This first year player led his Huntingdon defense in tackles at 100 overall while also producing 17 tackles for loss and 11 sacks on the season. Eubanks was highly active throughout his entire freshman campaign, establishing himself as a defensive standout and potential team leader moving forward. It will be interesting to see how his body develops as I could see Eubanks transitioning into an edge defender before his high school career is over.

Jones burst on the scene in a big way this Fall by establishing himself as the Eagles top player in the Eagles secondary and potentially a D1, FCS level college ball player one day. This Clarksville area freshman led his region and tied for the state lead in his class with five interceptions on the year. He was a ball hawk with tremendous instincts but he was also a willing tackler where Jones produced 44 total on the season along with three pass breakups. His work on the back end was one of the only bright spots for the Eagles this year as the team struggled but Jones became someone the squad can build around over the next three years.
