After a breakout freshman campaign in 2024, where Bangura recorded over 1,000 all-purpose yards and eight scores, he looks to build on that in his sophomore season. So far, the 2028 running back has done that. He’s an all-around player used as Middle Tennessee Christian’s workhorse.
He’s incredibly elusive and has nice vision everywhere on the field, whether at the line of scrimmage or down the field when he’s trying to evade tacklers. His footwork is solid, with a blend of impressive jump cuts. Like McNealy, he’s strong and physical enough to run over somebody, which is the finishing touch to his already solid game.

is a well-rounded back with a strong blend of speed, vision, and power. He displays excellent patience, allowing blocks to develop before hitting the hole with decisiveness. His burst through the line of scrimmage makes him a constant big-play threat. Bangura has the ability to contribute in both the run and passing game, showcasing great hands and route-running ability. His toughness and versatility make him a valuable asset in any offensive scheme.

There aren’t many eighth-graders, not just in Tennessee, but the entire United States of America, that hit with the ferocity and violence that Bangura does. Just throw on the tape and watch from the opening play, as you’ll see Bangura moving as fast as he can and with zero regard for the damage he causes. He was the only LaVergne student-athlete selected for the Rutherford All-County team this season and it wasn’t by accident. Elite reaction time and consistently playing at full speed he’s in a class of his own when it comes to his play. Some athletes just have “IT” and Bangura checks that box with me. At this point his height is something to keep an eye on, as he’s only listed at 5-foot-6 current; But, if you go ask the equipment managers from the other teams in Rutherford County who has caused more mouth pieces knocked out, broken clips and busted chin straps, they can tell you all about #4 at MLB.

was one that I kept noticing play after play. He’s not the biggest kid in the world, I’m guessing around 5-foot-6 and 155 pounds, but he plays like his hair is on fire at all times. Bangura was a physical presence in the middle on defense and looked like a missile getting to the ball carrier. At times almost played a little out of control, he was moving so fast. Offensively, a low center of gravity mixed with power and his ability to shred tackles, allowed him to put up big numbers on the ground too.
