Another prospect to impress me was Cooper Jones Cooper Jones TN , a defensive back for Quarterboys 18U that made his presence known defensively on Saturday morning. I really liked how Jones could read the offense like a book and lock down receivers on the short pass. Jones also excelled at shutting down the pass in crunch time, using his wingspan to swat the ball to the ground.

Cooper Jones Cooper Jones 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB/TE Oliver Springs | 2026 TN is another guy who’s electric on the field and sticks out pretty easily. He plays outside linebacker for Middle Tennessee Christian, but could certainly move inside if he wanted to. Regardless, he’s a good player who should garner college interest.

Jones is undersized but has the frame to add a lot of good weight. He’s speedy, agile, physical and runs around with his hair on fire. I like what Jones has to offer, and he’s somebody you need to become familiar with.

Out of all the upperclassmen linebackers at the Winter Showcase, Jones proved to be the top performer, earning MVP honors after his camp work and proving he is a prospect to watch moving forward. The Cougars rising sophomore was the most consistent linebacker throughout the day as he did well during testing but really stepped up his game when we reached positional work. Jones showed nice instincts along with a good burst towards the ball. He also showed well with his coverage. This is a versatile backer that does need time to continue building his body but from a football IQ and feel standpoint, Jones handled himself more than well against older competition.
