Catching my attention for the Rams was Antonio Edwards Antonio Edwards 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB/WR Tyner Academy | 2028 State TN , a defensive back/wide receiver at Tyner Academy. Edwards made a big difference at two different moments during the contest. First, Edwards helped get the Rams going offensively, hauling in an impressive touchdown pass in the second quarter. Edwards also caught my attention in the closing minutes of the first half, running a kickoff all the way to the endzone for another Tyner Academy touchdown.

The 2028 Tyner Academy player is very productive on both sides of the ball. However, he excels at safety. He plays a good center field, but can cover all over the gridiron while being able to play corner if necessary.

Antonio “Dion” Edwards has a good frame with a lot of explosiveness, burst and good football instincts. The sophomore also impresses with his tackling ability, showing he’s not just a one-trick pony as a coverage guy.

Dion Edwards is a versatile playmaker from Chattanooga who is just a winner, with nothing being too small for him to master. In addition to a touchdown reception in his most recent game, he blocked an extra point to maintain a one-point lead for his team and made an athletic interception to ice the game.

He is a player with good length with the frame to add more length and weight to his body as he continues to grow physically. His versatility shows up as he fills in where needed, whether that be at outside corner, safety, or in the slot.

He shows good athleticism that allows him to effectively cover receivers, especially when he can use his physicality at the line of scrimmage to push them off their line. In a version of the game where safeties are being asked to do everything over the course of a game, he has the required traits and winning factor needed to play this position at a high level at the next level.
