The Tigers have been one of the favorites in Class 6 since before week 1 and they have lived up to the billing. They have run rough shot over their opponents with no team coming within 15 points of them this season. Big time FBS level prospects on both sides of the ball Oscar Smith has been a well oiled machine all year long. Taking down reigning Region champ Highland Springs last week, the Tigers get after you defensively and make you pay on offense. Players to know:

[player_tooltip player_id='1228336' first='Jahmari' last='DeLoatch']- The top defensive back in Virginia Deloatch this week flipped his commitment from Cincinnati to Virginia Tech and Hokie Nation is excited. Deloatch will surely have the assignment of stopping the young playmakers Colonial Forge has on offense and I can imagine he is welcoming the challenge.

[player_tooltip player_id='521793' first='Lonnie' last='Andrews']- Sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='521793' first='Lonnie' last='Andrews'] has a cannon, he throws maybe the best deep ball in the 2027 class. Andrews has bee poised and calmed all season long for the Tigers and has 1 offer from Marshall University for his effort. A state championship as a sophomore will be sure to trigger several more FBS level opportunities. The All Region selection Andrews has 23 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, pretty elite numbers if you ask me.

[player_tooltip player_id='447440' first='Ty'jae' last='Curtis']- Really like this sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='447440' first='Ty'jae' last='Curtis'], he really hits the hole hard. Last week in their in impressive win over Highland Springs, Curtis had a 24 yard touchdown run where he just went right up the gut and no one was bringing him down. Going against the Springers defense which had been elite for more than this year, Curtis was a huge difference maker.

[player_tooltip player_id='402779' first='Travis' last='Johnson']- Another 4 star prospect is junior wideout [player_tooltip player_id='402779' first='Travis' last='Johnson'] who has 11 touchdown receptions on the year. Johnson is 6'4 with blazing speed, obtaining close to 15 division 1 offers. While Highland Springs did a nice job of holding him out of the endzone a week ago, he will be a handful for the Eagles defense tomorrow afternoon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1230169' first='Jaden' last='Dabbs']- The Army Commit is the back end of a defense that has pitched 7 shutouts in 2024! Dabbs rarely errors from his safety position that is why you rarely see the Tigers give up big plays defensively.

Colonial Forge (10-3 defeated Patriot last week 42-14):

No team has been hotter in the month of November than the Colonial Forge Eagles, who brought home the region B title last week. Taking down the likes of Stafford, North Stafford and Patriot to earn their championship hardware, the Eagles are peaking at the perfect time. As the 6th seed they truly are a Cinderella story, overcoming a couple of heartbreaking losses including in week 10 to North Stafford. Recency hasn't matter as Head Coach Bill Brown squad is on fire. Players to know:

[player_tooltip player_id='853812' first='Brock' last='Brimhall']- We have talked about the junior quarterback before, but it has to be mentioned this will be by far his biggest test. Oscar Smith's defense has many FBS prospects that includes two in their outstanding secondary. Brimhall has been on a heater this playoffs and he torched Patriot a week ago, the lefty passer will have his hands full tomorrow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1571526' first='Darion' last='Majeed']- A breakout star for the Eagles has been freshman receiver Darrion Majeed. He smoked the Pioneers for a couple of touchdowns last weekend and should be a primary target down in Chesapeake tomorrow afternoon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1231297' first='Jake' last='Mangano']- The defensive player of the year Mangano will need to be active early and often, like he has been all season long. Mangano is an absolute terror to block alongside the Eagles defensive line, he has 5 sacks through the playoffs thus far. Committing to Shepherd University he was unblockable a week ago against a Patriot offensive line that is one of the tops in the state. The Eagles will be relying on him to continue his high level of play to disrupt Oscar Smith's dynamic offense.

Overall this looks like a matchup with the potential for some fireworks, especially with the way Colonial Forge has been playing as of late. Oscar Smith is the favorite in this entire class, can they prove it on Saturday?
