Georgia Elite: Sophomores to Watch in Today’s Clash

Physical guy that toughness to run between the tackles and the explosive speed to take it to the house when he reached the 2nd level. Warner has been laser timed in the 40 at 4.45 and has good balance after contact. He had a breakout sophomore season at Troup Co combing for close to 1000 yards rushing and receiving.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Already has caught the eye of the Redzone staff, ranking him as the #17 overall RB in the 2027 Class. He had a productive season on the field and will only continue to get better and catch eyes. Explosive 1st step with good hands, Hendon has good field awareness and is an excellent route runner. We are familiar with Hendon from his time at the Prep Redzone Showcase last January. He saw some action last season at the varsity level and averaged close to 30 yards per catch on his 3 attempts. He looks the part off the bus at 6'3 200, long and lean and carries his weight well and could be around the 220 mark before his high school career is done. Excellent decision maker with a laser for an arm, good touch on the downfield throws and has deceptive speed with his legs if the play breaks down. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Already ranked as the Top 4 QB in the 2027 class and has the potential to climb those rankings next Fall. Physical with a nose for the football, he had 135 TT this Fall for the Tigers with 10 TFL. He missed his freshman season after getting injured in the opening game but put that time to good use in the weight room where he has already hit the benchmark 300 PC max. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook</strong>: Nix has a high football IQ that comes from being a coaches son and add to that the natural physical and mental traits of a hard hitting LB. He does a good job in pursuit and is a finisher when he gets his hands on you. Played on a back to back State Title team at Milton.
