Diers produced a whole lot of offense during Pella's 28-16 victory against defending champion Lewis Central in the Class 4A semifinals here at the UNI-Dome. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"Shout out to Rex (Rhamy)," Diers said. "The shoes were there, man. They felt soft on my feet, the linemen did their job and I got my holes (to run through). So, thank them all." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Diers rushed 14 times for 175 yards and pair of touchdowns, and caught five balls for 103 yards and a score. [player_tooltip player_id='1286458' first='Colin' last='Kerndt'] completed 11 of 19 passes for 251 yards and two TDs, and added 46 yards on the ground. Nate Warner racked up a team-high 9.5 tackles. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Dutch improved to 11-1, while Lewis Central ended its season at 10-2. [player_tooltip player_id='1360075' first='Chance' last='Chappell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1583687' first='Braydan' last='Doss'] combined for 147 rushing yards, and [player_tooltip player_id='755592' first='Jacob' last='Jefferis'] ran for two touchdowns during Thursday's loss. The Titans were stopped on a fourth-and-goal from the Pella one-yard line with a chance to take the lead early in the fourth quarter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"That changed the momentum," Lewis Central coach Justin Kammrad said. On its next possession, Diers ripped off an 81-yard scoring run, and the lead ballooned to 28-10.
