Indiana 6A State Championship Standout Performances

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Westfield and Brownsburg went at it in the 6A state championship game and it was the exact type of game you'd expect from these 2—hardnose defense with some big plays mixed in. Brownsburg came out on top 22-17 in a game that had it all. The platoon approach for Brownsburg paid off big this year because it allowed Frye to develop as the season went on. Going 7 of 9 for 161 yards with a 71-TD isn't the biggest stat line, but he was efficient and most importantly, helped lead the offense up and down the field and to a state title. To rotate in your final 2 years and stay ready all the time is hard. Most players would have left in his situation, and I'm glad he did. It speaks volumes to his character. He's a hard runner to bring down, has good speed, and will throw a stiff-arm as the defenders fall right off of him. He scored the 20-yard TD from Stephens and had another 13-yard grab where you can just see the special twitch and acceleration he has. It was 16-10 and a punt was blocked and Pendleton picked it up and raced to the endzone. It completely shocked the Westfield crowd and had them stunned. Brownsburg's side went nuts as the game changed in an instant. Instead of 16-10 and getting the ball back, Westfield went down 22-10, which ultimately ended up being the deficit they couldn't overcome.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
