Ohio is a football factory. Many players made a name for themselves during the 2024 season which will land them on college radars. Here are five prospects who really shined.

Vanpeteghem has the height and size - his 6-foot-4, 275-pound frame will likely grow over the next week or two. He's a lean OT prospect who is still raw but does a good job of lateral setting and keeping defenders between his feet in pass pro.

Williams, who transferred to Hoban from Cleveland Heights, played just five games but made them count. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound safety prospect had 31 tackles, three pass breakups and one tackle-for-loss. He is very feisty in coverage, displays good use-of-hands and ability to cover and carry deep routes. He already holds three Division I offers.

St. Ignatius is always producing prospects, and Simms will be one to watch during the college camp circuit. Although he had just 20 catches for 408 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, the 6-foot-0, 170-pound receiver is outstanding with high-pointing the ball and making tough catches in traffic.

Long really broke out as a junior season, putting together 64 catches for 658 yards and three touchdowns. His reception count was ranked first in the GWOC conference, and his numbers and film will make him a must-watch player during camp season. Long can run after the catch, create separation and high-point the ball. He is a good target in the back of the end zone.

Davis, a multi-sport athlete, is already drawing interest from Ivy League teams. Perhaps more could be in store for the 5-foot-11 sophomore, who put up 131 yards rushing in the first half of last week's sectional win. Davis is a tough inside running back who runs through contact, finishes forward and fights for extra yards.
