Metzger may have put together the best performance out of anyone in the state during the Sectional Championships. His efficiency, big plays, and ability to move the ball were on full display. He only had 4 incomplete passes on the night as he completed 81% of his passes for 317 yards and 6 TDs. He had more TD passes than incompletions in a playoff game, and that's as impressive as anything else.

Stephens's development from year 1 to year 2 has been clear as day, and although they lost on Friday, he gave his team everything. He was efficient, made big throws, and kept plays alive with his legs. On the evening, Stephens went 28-36 for 400 yards and 3 TDs. I think Greencastle is a sneaky good team to watch next year to make a deep run as long as Stephens stays healthy.

South Adams's high-powered offense rolls as Lehman does, and he's impressive. He's got a big frame, clearly a confident player, and has the arm to make the throws. He went 27-36 for 417 yards and 3 TDs on the night. Although he did have 3 interceptions on Friday, it never waivered his confidence and he stood in there and kept firing. He added just under 50 yards on the ground as well as they put up 43 points and are a team I think could sneak up on someone in Regionals.

Summersett had his best game of the year and stepped up when they needed it most. He was impressive and got better as the night went on. He was aggressive and went after the ball when it was in the air. He broke tackles and picked up YAC. His 7 catches for 173 yards and 1 TD. Those 7 catches and 173 yards were both career highs for Summersett and if he can continue to play at that level, South Adams will continue to roll.

On an evening when Luers needed some consistency, Hogue came through. They were in a battle with Mississinewa and Hogue's ability to move the chains on the ground was huge. He made guys miss, broke tackles, and churned out yards in between the tackles. His 11 yards per carry, 119 yards, and 1 TD on the game all led the game as Luers snuck by 34-28.

Crowder and the Bronchos looked good on Friday night and should feel good as they head into Regionals. Crowder was dialed in all night and was hitting his guys in stride. He got the ball out quickly and knew where he wanted to go with the ball. 16 or 23 for 249 yards and 4 TDs on the night as they cruised past Kokomo.
