He can score anytime he touches the ball. He has elite speed, and he runs past helpless defenders when he gets into the open field. He is also a physical running back who is hard to bring down. He was also used as a quarterback with direct snaps. He showed a good ability to find the opening from the quarterback position and run for big plays. He also showed off a strong arm when he threw the ball from the running back position for a touchdown. He does an excellent job of reading the play and then triggering downhill to make tackles. He does a good job of taking on blockers and keeping his one arm free to make plays against the offense. Then he shows a good ability to make tackles in the open field. Garvin also shows a good ability to play in space as he can play as a good outside linebacker in coverage. He shows good running skills from his quarterback position. In both designed run plays and when the play breaks down Reed does a good job of making plays with his feet. As a football thrower, he has excellent mechanics and footwork. He did throw 16 interceptions last year, but I think this is more of a product of him trying to make plays for his team. He has a strong arm and shows it off on deep balls where he puts a good amount of touch on the ball. On offense, he plays as a running back, and he is a playmaker. He is the type of player that can score anytime he touches the ball. He has good speed and can take a handoff and race to the end zone. I also liked the way Laurel Highlands used him in the passing game. They threw the ball in space and he caught the ball well and made defenders miss in space. Then, on defense, he is a dynamic defensive back that has good coverage skills. He also shows a good understanding and feel for the game. Ambrose does a nice job of reading the defense and knowing exactly where he wants to go with the football all the time. At wide receiver, he flashes big-time ability. He does a good job catching the ball and then making defenders miss. He shows good hands and can catch the ball when it is not the best ball with the quarterback. At defensive back, he shows good coverage skills and makes a ton of plays on the ball.
