We have been in the film room lately, going deep on the senior D-lineman and Edge prospects, looking to see who has improved and taken their games to another level. Looking over his senior clips, Roseman looks near unblockable at times. His size alone is a problem for opposing offensive linemen but his strength as well as his lower body athleticism and balance makes him difficult to block. Roseman fits the nose guard role very well but his mobility could allow him to play some 3-tech as well. At the moment, the Blaze D-lineman is committed to MTSU but I would not be surprised if bigger schools come after him soon because of his size, skill set combo and potential on the collegiate gridiron. Roseman could turn out to be one of the best college prospects coming out of this class if he continues to develop at a proper rate.

- - - - -

It's been a big transformation for this Mid-Tennessee product over the past two years as Bell has now worked himself into possibly playing his play into a D1 opportunity. Standing 6 '6 250 plus pounds, Bell has the size, length and athletic skill set to excel on the college level and I feel he is still far from a finished product, which is an exciting concept. Where the Spartans big man has developed his game the most is with his lower body agility and burst off the snap. Bell comes off the ball hard and fast and with his bend and length, opposing offensive linemen have a problem dealing with him. Because of his size and power/speed combo, Bell can provide snaps at the 3-tech as well. I think the sky's the limit for Bell and could be a steal for whoever he signs with.

- - - - -

Throughout the 2024 year, Thomas wasn't a name too high on the recruiting radar but he is now and could be one of the hottest prospects pursued by college coaches during the home stretch. The Firebirds senior prospect was viewed as a tight end prospect at one point but is now a true edge guy that shows outstanding burst and violence coming around the tackle and the speed to quickly find the ball. His senior edge work is some of the best I've viewed through these Fall months where Thomas shows honest potential for the D1 level. He does need to continue packing on more weight while staying on the field to develop his game but the upside is definitely there. I would not be shocked to see some bigger schools get involved before Thomas decides to sign.

- - - - -

The Purple Wave sport one of the better defenses in this greater Memphis area with Hearn being a major player in those efforts. Standing 6 '5 225 pounds, Hearn is an intriguing talent that could be labeled as an “edge” due to his athleticism and agility but I feel he is a perfect defensive end prospect for the college game. Hearn has a nice get-off and speed to the ball along with good hand work. The Purple Wave D-lineman has a great frame to pack on additional weight that could turn him into not just a pass rusher but someone strong versus the run as well. His senior film shows definite improvement in multiple areas that can be further developed on the next level. Right now, Hearn remains under the radar but could be an excellent prospect for FCS programs to take a flier on and develop.

- - - - -

One of the bigger hidden gems coming out of our #TN2025 D-line class is this multi year starter that simply has a nose for playing in the backfield. For multiple years now, Adam-Vik has been one of the more consistent D-line prospects in not just the Mid-TN region but the entire state. He is putting together another strong season this Fall where he has produced 16.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks thus far with two games remaining. What you like best about this guy is natural feel for finding the football and using a variety of skills to do so. Adam-Vik plays with active hands and deceptive athleticism along with sporting great power throughout his body that offensive linemen tend to have a problem dealing with. Some coaches may see some limitations with Adam-Vik but this guy is a true “football player” that does all the small things right along with having the knowledge to succeed on a down to down basis.

- - - - -

Taylor burst onto the scene late in the summer but has built upon his stock throughout this Fall season as a hidden gem with athletic tools that can be developed much further on the next level. The Panthers senior defensive lineman is an athletic guy that shows on his senior clips the ability to burst off the snap fast and get towards the ball quickly then finish with violence. Taylor has good bend and the athletic upside to develop his pass rushing skill set much further with continued maturity and work. He does also need to pack on more size to compete at a high level on the collegiate gridiron. Taylor will need some time to continue his development but there is a reason he will rise in the next updated rankings and that's due to his pass rushing potential.

- - - - -

From a pure potential point of view, Bolden might turn out to be a steal down the road due to his ability to come around the edge and get after the quarterback. Going through his senior film, the Spartans senior edge rusher shows outstanding physicality at the point of attack then the burst and speed to chase down the ball with controlled violence. His White Station team has struggled this year but Bolden has competed at a high level, showing development in both his ability to rush the passer but also stop the run in the open space. His physicality also allows him to play with his hand in the dirt as well, so Bolden brings nice versatility to the defensive front. This Memphis area defender may be under the radar but he is a worthy prospect for college coaches to take a deeper look into.

- - - - -

It's been a struggle this year for his Wolves team but Ray, Jr has flashed pass rushing upside that could potentially grow further on the collegiate gridiron. Playing both ways on the line for his Cordova team, Ray, Jr has displayed an athletic skill set that can be developed and one trait that should put him on the college radar is his burst coming off the edge. This is a long and athletic guy that has a nice bend and get-off around the edge that tackles have a problem dealing with along with the speed to chase down the quarterback. All those abilities sound awesome but Ray, Jr is still raw and developing his game while also needing more time in the weight room to pack on pounds. The Wolves senior lineman may have to hit the FCS or D2 level to start his career but could be a guy to watch for down the road.

- - - - -

Playing alongside other college level players within the Jaguars defensive front seven, Jones has stood out during his senior campaign by showing off improved speed around the edge and the potential to play in space. The immediate thing that stands out about Jones when watching his film is his physicality at the point of attack and ability to shed blocks to chase after the football. When Jones makes his decision on the direction he is attacking, the Jags rusher goes full force. His work against the run this year has been strong as well. Jones has certainly taken steps to become a legit college prospect but the work isn't done. He must continue working on his lower half agility and lateral quickness. This Memphis area prospect could be a nice late add to anybody's college roster that is looking for a developmental edge defender.

- - - - -

Quick off the snap with active hands, Hammond is a high motor defensive tackle prospect that has taken a step forward with his game this year to where I think this Mid-TN product could sneak his way into the FCS ranks. Reasons for that statement is due to his improvement this Fall and his versatility along the defensive line. Hammond fits the role of a 3-tech well where he can use his athleticism, power and speed to play in the backfield but those traits could also allow him to handle some end work as well. What may be keeping college coaches back from going hard at Hammond is his overall size. The Eagles senior D-Tackle stands about 6'1, almost 6'2 and less than 270 pounds. He is a bit undersized but has the frame to put on more weight and become a more formidable interior D-lineman that can rush the passer and stop the run.

- - - - -

Five Other Improved D-linemen

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='1310949' first='Daveon' last='Johnson'] - Jackson Central

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='1133034' first='Jackson' last='Ford'] - Millington

(DE) [player_tooltip player_id='1282475' first='Dawson' last='Carson'] - White House

(DL) [player_tooltip player_id='832830' first='Jaden' last='Owens'] - Beech

(DE) [player_tooltip player_id='1310381' first='Carson' last='Weber'] - Heritage

We have been in the film room lately, going deep on the senior D-lineman and Edge prospects, looking to see who has improved and taken their games to another level. We feel these ten guys below have done that and placed themselves in the mix to receive college offers.
