Every season there are several freshman that find ways to immediately impact games at the high school level for their respective programs and adds another playmaker to the mix while increasing the level of competition on the team every single day.

The 2029 class had a large number of instant impact players, even at the highest levels of competition in the state, and there is no doubt that some teams will be looking for a handful of prospects from the 2030 class to contribute right away in some fashion as well.

While it is too early to have a full grasp on the full class that will be the newest to the high school level, there are some prospects in the 2030 class that have already emerged on the radar, including four playmakers in the receiving game to know in the middle of the state.

2030 ATH Kelan Taylor

Kelan Taylor is an exciting prospect with a very, very encouraging amount of potential at both receiver and cornerback already. He has a good frame already that will allow him to fit in physically at the high school level.

While he is a big incoming freshman, standing around six-foot and 165 pounds, he is a natural, fluid mover with impressive athleticism that makes it an easy to project a high ceiling in the future for the rising freshman.

He has played up in 7-on-7 tournaments which has allowed for some to get a look at him against high school competition and they were rewarded with several splash plays, especially at cornerback. He has a lot of upside on receiver as well that can win at each level and projects to be a premier young prospect in the state. It will be interesting to see which high school he elects to attend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307094' first='Trent' last='Perkins'] has been on the radar for a little bit now, but after watching the highlights, it is easy to see why there is excitement with the Smyrna standout.

He has a big, strong frame at around six-foot and 170 pounds with an encouraging complement of strong hands at the catch point, smooth change of direction ability and impressive long speed.

Perkins has the potential to be an instant impact weapon and one of the premier young prospects in the state of Tennessee due to his combination of frame, athleticism and natural tools.

[player_tooltip player_id='2118525' first='Nakavi' last='Gundy'] is an exciting receiver prospect out of Murfreesboro that has developed a strong amount while coming up at Rockvale. He has impressive size, already standing over six-feet tall with a strong baseline frame to add weight upon.

He has good long speed and can make some things happen with the ball in his hands, which should give him a solid floor right away at the high school level, especially at that size.

From what I have seen, he can become more consistent at the catch point, but he has all the intangibles to be a high-level receiver with the right development. He is a prospect to know for the next four years in middle Tennessee.

2030 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='2126231' first='Cornelius' last='Wade']

The first tight end on the list, Corneilus Wade, also played at Rockvale and is an intriguing prospect for a variety of reasons. He has very impressive length right now, standing around 6-foot-3.

He moves really well and is coordinated for such a big kid at his age, perhaps coming from his experience in basketball. This gives him some instant impact potential as a power slot receiving option of sorts where the emphasis is getting the ball in his hands quickly and letting him run after the catch (up the seam, flat, etc.).

He will need to continue to pack on weight and refine his skillset, but if he goes to Rockvale for high school, he should have the year to do just that while learning under a Power Four level prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='1675717' first='Dallas' last='Pauldo'].
