Playing alongside other college level players within the Jaguars defensive front seven, Jones has stood out during his senior campaign by showing off improved speed around the edge and the potential to play in space. The immediate thing that stands out about Jones when watching his film is his physicality at the point of attack and ability to shed blocks to chase after the football. When Jones makes his decision on the direction he is attacking, the Jags rusher goes full force. His work against the run this year has been strong as well. Jones has certainly taken steps to become a legit college prospect but the work isn’t done. He must continue working on his lower half agility and lateral quickness. This Memphis area prospect could be a nice late add to anybody’s college roster that is looking for a developmental edge defender.

Taylor Jones Taylor Jones 6'1" | 220 lbs | EDGE/DL Southwind | 2025 State TN is an aggressive disruptor in the backfield at 6-foot-2, 255 pounds out of Southwind High School. Solid versatility to play DT and some on the edge, he shows a great 1st step to get up field and disrupt the back field. His explosiveness and loose athleticism allows him to play with nice slipperiness. Jones is aggressive and with low pad level with great body control, balance and solid bend. Solid instincts and processing vs run concepts; Jones shows good power at the point of attack with the torque to shed with ease.
