Throughout the 2024 year, Thomas wasn’t a name too high on the recruiting radar but he is now and could be one of the hottest prospects pursued by college coaches during the home stretch. The Firebirds senior prospect was viewed as a tight end prospect at one point but is now a true edge guy that shows outstanding burst and violence coming around the tackle and the speed to quickly find the ball. His senior edge work is some of the best I’ve viewed through these Fall months where Thomas shows honest potential for the D1 level. He does need to continue packing on more weight while staying on the field to develop his game but the upside is definitely there. I would not be shocked to see some bigger schools get involved before Thomas decides to sign.
