This week's matchups bring us some of the most exciting showdowns yet, with several powerhouse programs looking to solidify their spots while others are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. We'll dive into the week's top games, highlighting key players who could be difference-makers under the Friday night lights.

Top 15 Schedule:

Oregon City (1-6) @ #1 Lake Oswego (7-0)

Lake Oswego is coming off a massive win at West Linn last Friday, which was not necessarily an upset but something not a lot of people were expecting. Lake Oswego needs to be careful this week to avoid a massive upset after beating the giant West Linn. If the Lakers can dominate at the LOS and lean on their incredible rushing attack with [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1059015' first='Justin' last='Craigwell'], [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] should not have to do too much this week. [player_tooltip player_id='406768' first='Ben' last='Schneider'] is a great quarterback for the Pioneers, and he will always give his team a shot, but I do see Lake Oswego pulling away and remaining undefeated.

David Douglas (1-6) @ #2 Central Catholic (7-0)

Central Catholic won't face another test until the playoffs. They have gotten through their tough conference opponents and won't need to break out all the stops to get a win for a few weeks. David Douglas is in the middle of rebuilding and nowhere near the same level as Central Catholic, with multiple D1 players on the roster. It will probably be a short night for [player_tooltip player_id='914302' first='Robbie' last='Long'], [player_tooltip player_id='1094734' first='Landon' last='Kelsey'], [player_tooltip player_id='406759' first='Zac' last='Stascausky'], and the rest of the starts, as they should pull away early.

#3 West Linn (6-1) @ #6 Tualatin (5-2)

West Linn is heading into another tough game this week and will have to play up to their standards if they are going to come out on top. Tualatin will always have a chance with the #1 quarterback in the state [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] at the helm. I am really looking forward to the matchup on the perimeter with [player_tooltip player_id='152653' first='Zhaiel' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='632957' first='Josiah' last='Molden'], that should be a lot of fun to watch. If West Linn can lean on their dominant line, led by Oregon State commit [player_tooltip player_id='406756' first='Jake' last='Normoyle'], they should come out on top, but we will see how they respond to their loss last week.

#4 Lakeridge (6-1) @ Tigard (2-5)

Lakeridge should not have a problem after defeating #6 Tualatin last week. Tigard has some talent, and they are fun to watch, but they are quite young. Lakeridge should be able to lean on their stars and take this one easily. [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'] and [player_tooltip player_id='754631' first='Kayce' last='Tinner'] will be hard to step and may be able to get to [player_tooltip player_id='937183' first='Aris' last='Dimick'] multiple times. [player_tooltip player_id='284119' first='Ansu' last='Sanoe'] should run wild and lead the Lakers to another victory.

Gresham (1-6) @ #7 Clackamas (5-2)

Clackamas will remain in the top ten after this week, as they should take care of Gresham at home. [player_tooltip player_id='1232751' first='Liam' last='Arnold'] might cause some problems, but they should be alright. [player_tooltip player_id='402407' first='Dylan' last='Brower'] is having an excellent season for the Cavaliers, and [player_tooltip player_id='274319' first='Luke' last='Baker'] is a Swiss army knife who is just a lot of fun to watch. Expect Clackamas to win handily.

Liberty (3-4) @ #8 Sherwood (5-2)

This should be a fun game, as both teams have some firepower. If they want to come out on top, [player_tooltip player_id='412220' first='Maliq' last='Smith'] will be the one Sherwood has to contain. [player_tooltip player_id='1103727' first='Wilson' last='Medina'] is the player Liberty must include, and I think that will be more difficult. I also think [player_tooltip player_id='153870' first='Jackson' last='Bell'] will be the difference in this game, as I trust him in a tough game like this. I expect Sherwood to come out on top.

Grants Pass (5-2) @#9 Sheldon (7-0)

Sheldon has been impressive all season, and the same can be said for their opponents this week, Grants Pass. The defense for Sheldon has been winning them games, and they are led by Boise State commit [player_tooltip player_id='527032' first='Mana' last='Tuioti']. The defense will have a tough time this week, though, as [player_tooltip player_id='796694' first='Jordan' last='Rossetta'] is having a fantastic year for a sophomore throwing to the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='1569361' first='Isaac' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1567695' first='Connor' last='Johnston']. [player_tooltip player_id='1103481' first='Luke' last='Saraceno'] and [player_tooltip player_id='407439' first='Brody' last='Thomas'] will have to put some pressure on Rossetta to come out on top this week.

Barlow (2-5) @ #10 Nelson (5-2)

Nelson should come out on top this week against a rebuilding Barlow team and it should set up a very exciting matchup next week against #7 Clackamas. Barlow has had a rough season under new Head Coach Steven Andreen and it does not get any easier this week. Washington commit [player_tooltip player_id='527045' first='Dominic' last='Macon'], [player_tooltip player_id='285852' first='Avirey' last='Durdahl'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1110921' first='Chaz' last='Katoanga'] headline the talent Barlow is up against this week and it does not bode well for their chance to win. Give me Nelson to come out on top.

Other Notable Games:

Lincoln (4-3) @ Jefferson (4-3)

This game makes the list because Jefferson has to win this one if they want any chance of winning the PIL and making the 12 team playoff bracket. A win this week would set up a massive game next week against #15 Ida B. Wells for the PIL title. [player_tooltip player_id='1326472' first='London' last='Walker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1216422' first='Brave' last='Johnson'] will look to provide the spark needed to get a win, but do not count out Lincoln as [player_tooltip player_id='904424' first='Brady' last='Holland'] will be a problem for the linemen. [player_tooltip player_id='936846' first='Leonardo' last='Correani'] is another name to watch out for as he is a fantastic athlete on both sides of the ball and could cause some problems for the Demos.
