No doubt that we can say as we enter the playoffs in 11AAA, that you can put [player_tooltip player_id='1263883' first='Brody' last='Schafer'] down as the underclassmen of the year in that class as it's been a monster year for him in year one as the Patriots starting quarterback. Its easy to see why he was such an asset with his legs last week, as Brody has some of the best out of the pocket instincts I will say amongst 2027 quarterbacks in the Dakotas. Then you add in how soon he has gotten mechanically sound with his arm talent showing off throwing angles on tape that many sophomores just don't have the skill to make especially on the run. I have seen what I need to see, as I am just about 100% Brody will be South Dakota's newest QB1 in our 2027 rankings.

I just caught wind of Willem's tape from recently against Dakota Valley, and man does this kid bring the heat with his phyicality that his knockback tackling possesses. The 6'2 225 pound defensive end shows this off persistently throughout his tape, and he shows the fast hands I want to see from a defensive end position into the next-level. The massive motor that Willem plays with and having that motor long enough to carry outside of the inside box shows so much finesse on every rep. How this young man has just one NAIA offer thus far to me is nearly a crime.

How has our #1 overall prospect in North Dakota's 2027 looked thus in his sophomore season? The versatility of Luke's first step showed off a lot from his midseason tape as his ability get into the second level, pull block, and just pure balance with his footwork. Luke is a constant driver into the second level no matter where he is headed on his blocks and he is excellent with his drive and pad-level. The strength this 6'5 250 pounder has shown off in his sophomore year shows why he got a FBS offer from Iowa State come in early, and being Minnesota's track record with Kindred Vikings (Riley Sunram) I wouldn't be surprised to see the Gophers get into the mix next with an offer.

Kaden shows off more instinction with change of direction with his twitch on tape, and did I mention he is another 2025 prospect in Session 3 with no or very limited offers? Another big catch I saw on tape with Kaden, is just how fast he is getting his seperation from the secondary as you see it quickly against even a great defensive unit that this kid is a technician as a route-runner and has a sound feel for where the first down markers are. I also like what I see with Kaden's balance with his footwork around the sidelines. Someone should get Kaden an offer and quickly!

I have evaluated Julian as a quarterback prospect last year, but the athleticism I see on tape certainly translates to a prospect that has position flexibility at the next level. Julian's tape is super light from the 2024 season, but the great vision that Julian has within the exterior of the inside box shows you that he can shed and transition within the some tight window for his 6'3 205 pound frame. He also shows off wirey steps that can travel well with some depth to the near edges from sideline to sideline. Julian is a raw linebacker at the next level in my eyes, but one with upside and frame college coaches are looking for.
