Midseason Stat Leaders- Top Rushing Leaders Across the State

Henderson is unbelievable with the ball in his hands- he plays with a ton of speed, quickness, and elusiveness that allows him to easily outrun and evade defenders all over the field. Since his freshman year, Henderson has put up video game numbers for Elba's offense, but the pace he's on this season is even crazier than in years past. So far to start his senior season, Henderson has totaled a ridiculous 152 carries for 1958 yards and 33 touchdowns in just 6 games. It's been an absolute blast watching him this year, he's been a must-watch player each week and could end up breaking all kinds of career records by the end of the season. Phinizee has been outstanding this season- he plays with a rare combination of size, speed, vision, and elusiveness that have made him an extremely valuable ball carrier for Russellville's ground game. Phinizee plays with a lot of finesse but does a great job using his size and physicality in his play as well- he can run over nearly anyone in the open field and consistently requires multiple defenders to take him down. It's been easy seeing these skills on tape this year- so far this season, Phinizee has been extremely reliable on the ground and has recorded 127 carries for 1385 yards and 15 touchdowns in just 5 games. It's been really exciting watching Phinizee continue to develop, he's a talented back that has been one of the state's top leaders in rushing yards in back-to-back seasons now. Embry is explosive with the ball in his hands, plays with a ton of speed, and can consistently gain great yardage and move the chains every single carry. Embry is quick on his feet and can be elusive, especially in the open field- he does a great job making defenders miss and has the athleticism to outrun entire defenses once he's past them. So far this season Embry has been the driving force of Locust Fork's offensive production, on just 98 carries he's recorded 1364 yards and 18 touchdowns in only 4 games. As a ball carrier Griffin thrives off his quickness, vision, and athleticism. He's very patient behind the line of scrimmage and consistently waits for the perfect moment to strike- he does a great job seeing the field and following blocks to gain the most possible yardage each carry. On top of that, Griffin is highly athletic and has the skills to exploit defenses- he's got great speed, can make defenders miss, and can fight through contact and take hits as well as anyone. It's been easy to see these traits on film- Griffin has recorded 128 carries for 1186 yards and 15 touchdowns in just 6 games.
