Midseason 2025 Defensive Line Check-In

<p>A few weeks ago, I checked in on the juniors midway through the season. Now I'm working on the senior class. I started with the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/09/midseason-2025-quarterback-check-in/">quarterbacks</a>, <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/10/midseason-2025-running-back-check-in/">running backs</a>, and <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/10/midseason-2025-wide-receiver-check-in/">wide receivers</a> so now it's time to check out the defensive linemen. I'll check in on the top three linemen in our 2025 rankings, evaluate a few more who have had strong starts to the season and then list a few more who we've heard good things about that we hope to evaluate soon.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Midseason Check-In: 2025 Defensive Line</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The top-ranked defensive lineman in our rankings, Campbell is both versatile and disruptive and he's enjoying his best season to date with 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks. He's so explosive off the line and his quickness and size allow him to play anywhere from the three-technique to outside the tackle. He looks like another future star lineman for Clemson. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">After transferring down to Weddington from the RDU area, Odom has really worked on his pass-rushing skills. He's always had a solid array of pass-rushing moves, but it hasn't always led to sacks. He's extremely diruptive on the inside, and relies more on trchnique and power after the snap than an elite first step. That shoudn't hurt him at the next level and he has moves other players his age simply don't.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">The top-rated edge rusher in the state, Davis is fianlly healthy after missing most of his junior season. The Duke commit has excellent bend around the outside and uses his size and length to give offensive tackles issues. He's really showcasing the leaps he's made since his sophomore year and Duke is getting a steal with a prospect who has both the athletic profile and football I.Q. to play early in college.</p>    <h3 class="wp-block-heading">2025 Defensive Linemen Impressing Early</h3>   <p>Obviously, we're paying attention to what prospects outside of the top three are doing. Here are a few guys further down the rankings who are really impressing.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Webster has really impressed us with his versatility and athleticism this season and is probably headed towards a ratings bump at the end of the year. Not only will he line up inside or outside on defense, but he's strong enough and has the lateral agility to play left tackle on offense as well. He's quick off the line and delivers big hits when he gets to the quarterback, which he's done often this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lee is a bit of a tweener, but plays primarily inside for Independence. He's extremely disruptive and you can tell both on film and in person how smart of a player he is. When he gets tot eh quarterback, he's usually looking to strip the ball and when he doesn't get there, he gets his hands up to bat down passes. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Dibble has been a one-man wrecking crew for Atkins this year, making some of the state's best offenses look silly in the process. Stats aren't everything, but they tell a stroy here. He's one of the top tacklers in the state and has 30 tackles for loss on the young season. He's a menace coming off the edge and has great bend. When he makes a hit, ball-carriers feel it.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other 2025 Defensive Linemen Who Have Impressed</h2>   <p>Here are some more guys we've liked early.
