The best Kicker in the class of 2025 resides in Lawrence, KS. Yusef is already having a strong Senior year after showcasing his talented leg at various college camps and receiving some college interest. The lefty has a smooth swing and great ball speed which results in deeper kicks on field goal and kickoff. Look for Yusef to lead all of Kansas in Touchbacks this season due to his powerful leg by the end of the season. Lawrence Free State travels to Olathe West High School this evening. He recently announced on social media that he has received an offer from Independence Community College.

Out in Western KS people may overlook the Kicking position, but over in the small town of Hugoton, KS they have one of the more accurate legs in the state. During the off-season, Christian won many college camps most accurate competitions. He has shown his consistency by going 3/4 so far this year with one miss coming at 51 yards. Christian range for field goals is 50 plus and will continue to be a consistent weapon for their team as the season goes on. Another lost art in the Kicking world is to the ability to Kick in thick grass. With Hugoton playing on a grass field for home games, Christian has shown time and time again he can be consistent even if he doesn't play on turf each week. Hugoton travels to Scott City tonight to take on the (3-1) Scott Beavers.

You wouldn't expect Jensen to be a Junior with the ball flight, speed, and accuracy he showcases. The best Kicker in the class of 2026 in the state of Kansas, the defending 6A state champs have another weapon to use in the Kicking game when the offensive juggernaut may need his services. Over the summer Jensen was outkicking older guys at the college camps with his most noticeable performance at the Arkansas Specialists camp finishing in the top 5 of the camp out of 150 plus specialists. Jensen has been able to translate his strong off-season to a great performance on the year by going 24-for-25 (1 blocked) on PAT's and 1-for-1 from Field Goals. Gardner Edgerton takes on Shawnee Mission East at home this evening.

Maize always seems to produce good Kickers in the last five years. From Cole Seagraves to Sam Parks, the town of Maize has another weapon in the Kicking game again this year. Mason has an explosive strong leg to help kick through the nasty wind that can come through the town of Maize Kansas. Big area of improvement he made over the summer was his Kickoffs, which has added him more hang time and distances. This has resulted in 5 Touchbacks on 8 Kickoffs this year. The trust level Maize High Head Coach Gary Guzman has in this Kicker should be noted as 3 of his attempts this year have been 50-plus yards! Maize High School takes on Wichita-Haysville Campus High School this evening.

The best combo Specialist in the state Brody is a weapon in the punting and kicking game. Over the past off-season, Brody made it a point to become more consistent with his punting game which showed when he was ranked in the top 40 in the nation as a Punter. He showcased his skills at the college camps this summer and is starting to receive interest in playing at the Division 1 level. A strong off-season has turned into a great year so far for the 2025 Combo. Averaging an outstanding 54 yards per punt, 14-for-15 PATs, and 1-for-2 on Field Goals with a game-winner from 27 yards against Topeka Hayden High School.
Yes, a Long Snapper has made the list for guys to look out for. [player_tooltip player_id='1214919' first='Austin' last='Cornett'] is not your typical Long Snapper from Blue Valley High School. He has all the traits to be an asset in punt coverage and to produce accurate field goal snaps. Austin also plays LB, and it shows when he covers downfield on punt coverage, as he's always the first one down to cover the returner. Austin is consistently snapping the ball with great speed for punt and field goal snaps. He also showed this summer to college coaches he can block on punt protection after snapping the ball. Watch him continue to make an impact in the punting game. Blue Valley travels to Blue Valley North to take on their cross-town rival.
